Principal Category Supplier Manager

Category Strategy & Projects:

In this role, you will partner with internal stakeholders to build comprehensive view of supplier performance for continued sourcing success. You will lead the development and implementation of category strategies and projects related but not limited to cost reduction initiatives, supply base optimization, and contract negotiation. This is accomplished through building and maintaining strategic supplier relationship to meet the category strategy goals and needs. Perform commercial supplier qualification activities to ensure the commercial development of strategic suppliers Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with supplier(s) while effectively resolving supplier performance/capability issues Participate in supplier segmentation and strategic goal setting Provide market intelligence and category price trends to relevant internal stakeholders on a disciplined schedule Coordinate with Category Sourcing Manager (where relevant) or lead sourcing events/RFQ process into bundled negotiation Develop a contract strategy for assigned supplier/contractors create, negotiate, monitor and enforce contracted terms and conditions Ensure Supplier Performance Management Collaborate internally to drive and develop key performance measures/metrics for key regional Suppliers and monitor supplier performance against these expectations to ensure continuous supplier improvement

Required:

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Business Administration/Management, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field of study Construction Project Management Purchasing/Procurement in Construction Quantity Surveying, Estimating Contractor or Subcontractor Management Engineering (CSA, Electrical, Mechanical, Process) - with experience in construction Desired certification or licensing: APICS, PMI, CPM, CPSM, EIT, PE or other related fields of study Experience in Construction, Estimating, Quantity Surveying and Construction Project Procurement and Management preferred Construction industry professional with expert knowledge on construction costs and contracts. Manage the costs on a construction project and help to ensure that the construction project is completed within its projected budget. Experience with Cost Planning; Life Cycle Costing; Value Management; Value Engineering; Project Management; Preliminary Cost Advice; Procurement Methods; Contractual Advice; Tendering; Valuation of Construction Work; Cost Control & Financial Management; Financial Claims & Program Analysis; Dispute Resolution; Insurance Advice Experience evaluating suppliers/bidders, products, and services, negotiating contracts, and ensuring that approved purchases are cost-efficient and of high quality. Negotiation Strategy; Tactical Negotiation Plan; Prepare the tender documents; Oversee the tendering process and opening of bids; Contract Administration; monitoring the work rate and payments, and making sure it is in compliance with contracts; Weighing up tenders from potential suppliers; Negotiating prices; Agreeing contracts; Researching and identifying new products and suppliers; Managing a procurement team; Working across departments to win best value for the company; Ensuring suppliers deliver on time; Keeping up with market trends; Making key final decisions on what to buy before building work can get started; Responsible for whole projects and a team of people; Negotiating, networking and working with figures - analyze data; Weighing up tenders from potential suppliers; All change management of contracts; The final settlement
