$95,000-$125,000 Our client, a leading company specializing in active wear and performance wear is seeking a Sourcing Manager with strong fabric development experience. The brand has all sustainable lifestyle products. As the Fabric and Sourcing Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our client's brand maintains its commitment to excellence. Your expertise in sourcing, developing and managing fabrics will contribute to the success of their product lines, allowing them to deliver exceptional and sustainable lifestyle products to their valued customers.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the entire fabric sourcing process, from identifying potential suppliers to negotiating contracts, ensuring the timely delivery of materials for production. Collaborate closely with design and production teams to understand fabric requirements and assist in the development of new collections that embody the company's innovative and sustainable vision. Conduct thorough research to stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and sustainable practices in fabric sourcing, aligning with the company's core values. Foster and maintain strong relationships with existing fabric suppliers, while actively seeking new opportunities to expand the network of sustainable and ethical suppliers. Ensure that all fabrics meet the company's high-quality standards, conducting inspections and tests as necessary to maintain product integrity. Manage fabric inventory, optimizing stock levels, and coordinating with relevant teams to ensure smooth production processes.
Requirements:
7 plus years of experience in fabric sourcing and management within the fashion industry, preferably for a company specializing in innovative and sustainable lifestyle products. Extensive knowledge of different fabric types, their properties, and their applications, with a focus on sustainability and ethical sourcing. Proven negotiation and contract management skills, demonstrating the ability to build and maintain strong supplier relationships. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities to effectively manage multiple projects and deadlines. Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards aligned with the company's values. Passion for innovation, sustainability, and promoting ethical practices within the fashion industry.
