Director of Supply Chain - Purchasing / Inventory

POSITION SUMMARY

The primary purpose of this position is to direct and oversee all policies, procurements, procedures, and personnel of the Purchasing and Inventory Control departments in an accurate and timely manner, using extensive experience and superior judgment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Directs and oversees the company's purchasing, warehouse, and Inventory Control functions. 2. Ensures purchasing department timely and accurately orders material needed for all installations and services. 3. Recruit, hire, train, mentor, and manage all Purchasing and Inventory Control personnel. 4. Assists Production Department in recruiting, hiring, training, and managing of warehouse personnel. 5. Develops policies and procedures related to the procurement of goods and services and department personnel. 6. Adheres to all Payroll Department policies and procedures for the accurate and timely submission of employee bi-weekly payroll. 7. Adjusts inventory levels in warehouses based on inventory turns and product demand. 8. Monitors inventory levels in all warehouses using on-hand counts and physical inventory reports. 9. Assures correct paper compliance is used by warehouse personnel at all times. 10. Negotiates blanket purchase orders when appropriate and monitors costs during the contract period. 11. Negotiates pricing with vendors. 12. Maintains inventory accuracy across all companies at a minimum of 95%. 13. Organize and execute company wide physical inventory count for entire company on an annual basis.

SECONDARY FUNCTIONS

1. Ensures compliance and complies with all safety policies and procedures. 2. Performs other job-related duties as assigned to meet business needs.

EDUCATION AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree or related experience and/or training: or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be at least 21 years of age

ABILITIES AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Must have strong leadership and organizational skills. Must be familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procurement procedures as they pertain to purchasing. Must have excellent knowledge of computers and software applications. Must be proficient in reading and writing using the English language. Must have the ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Must have the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must have the ability to sit for extended periods of time.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS

Must have valid driver's license.
