Job Description
Description The Sr. Strategic Procurement Manager leads the development and execution of effective sourcing strategies that deliver economic and cost efficiencies, supply assurance, and quality in the procurement of goods and services. The position also plays a critical role in integrating spend and procurement processes for newly acquired locations, partnering cross-functionally to support seamless onboarding and alignment with company procurement standards. Actively and consistently support efforts to simplify and enhance the patient experience Develop and execute the strategy to source indirect goods and services to support our business stakeholders and programs Influence and manage stakeholders, understanding their needs, aligning procurement and business objectives, and executing effective and timely communications Guide teams towards procurement strategies that yield tangible outcomes, streamline the RFP process, skillfully negotiate contracts to meet cost-saving targets, and refine our standardized procurement procedures Develop and execute strategic plans by leveraging market intelligence, industry knowledge and cross-functional collaboration Leverage strong negotiation skills to pursue cost-savings discussions with vendors as well as convince internal stakeholders of optimal decisions Manage supplier relationships effectively and appropriately to create culture of proactive continuous improvement versus complacency Analyze spend data and business needs to create category plans and strategic sourcing initiatives Manage and update contracts for indirect purchases, including ownership of terms and conditions and legal compliance Manage category-focused projects (sourcing, demand management, process review, etc.) Leverage systems to improve sourcing strategies, communication with suppliers, and improve accountability and cost effectiveness Analyze procurement policy and procedures for impact on procurement and expenditures Act as primary procurement partner with business leads to assist in contracting & spend management processes Oversee the integration of procurement activities for newly acquired & opened offices Manage & mentor team members to help them achieve success in their respective roles Required Skills & Qualifications 8 + years of procurement and supply experience Bachelor's degree in Business, Procurement, or Supply Chain/Logistics from an accredited institution or the combination of equivalent education, skills and work experience Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, negotiation, problem solving and complex business case analysis skills that lead to timely actions and/or recommendations Skilled in the use of Microsoft office software to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Strong interpersonal, relationship management and influencing capabilities Detail-oriented and able to coordinate/manage multiple tasks simultaneously Capable of challenging status quo and being a change agent Strategic thinking and tactical execution skills Self-driven with an adaptive leadership style and a passion for procurement Problem solving/issue resolution skills Total cost of ownership focus Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Vienna, VA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $57.69 - $72.11/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
