Job Description

Procurement Manager Our client, an established nonprofit healthcare organization providing integrated medical, behavioral health, dental, and specialty services to underserved populations throughout a multi-site clinic network, is seeking a Purchasing Manager to lead and oversee procurement activities across the organization. Strong leadership team, stable financial position, and mission-focused culture.
Location:
Marin County, CA. This position follows a primarily onsite or hybrid work schedule.
Job Description:
This role will be responsible for sourcing goods and services, managing vendor relationships, ensuring compliance with internal purchasing policies, and driving cost-effective procurement practices. The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytically minded, and comfortable partnering cross-functionally to support operational needs.
Responsibilities:
Manage and coordinate all aspects of procurement for materials, supplies, and services Develop and lead procurement initiatives focused on cost reduction, vendor optimization, and process improvement Establish and maintain purchasing policies, procedures, and approval workflows Ensure procurement activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies Serve as a procurement resource to internal stakeholders to support pricing, quality, and delivery objectives Develop and maintain vendor evaluation programs, including tracking quality, responsiveness, and on-time delivery Collaborate with group purchasing or strategic sourcing partners as applicable Prepare procurement reports and perform analysis on purchasing activity and spend Develop, manage, and monitor the departmental budget, ensuring expenses remain within approved limits Identify, document, and implement continuous improvement opportunities across procurement operations Train and support staff on purchasing protocols and best practices
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related field (or equivalent experience) 4+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management Strong knowledge of procurement processes, vendor management, and purchasing systems Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment Strong written and verbal communication skills

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco by Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors, including but not limited to: The individual's skill sets, experience, and training; Licensure and certifications; Office location and other geographic considerations; Other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco by Highspring notes that the salary range for the role is noted in this job posting. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
