Opportunity:
PURCHASING-LOGISTICS MANAGER
- Full Time Seastrom Manufacturing is seeking an organized individual with strong analytical and negotiating skills to create and streamline its supply chain activity. The Purchasing-Logistics Manager will analyze the current purchasing systems and create the best methods for day-to-day purchasing operations. The Purchasing-Logistics Manager is also responsible for overseeing the purchasing department, establishing Purchaser goals based on production and inventory needs, and sales projections for the coming year. Aerospace or AS9100 experience strongly preferred. This position requires the ability to consistently follow processes and schedules independently, with regular interaction with managers and others. The ideal candidate will be a team-oriented individual who possesses a strong personal value commitment dedicated to professionalism, problem solving, and adaptability.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
: Oversee the purchasing department and provide instruction and support to maximize the purchasing strategy. Establish Purchaser goals based on corporate inventory needs and sales projections for the coming year. Set career objectives for each member of the purchasing team. Read and understand blueprints regarding material, outside process, and manufacturing. Read and understand specifications for raw material and outside processes. Read and understand job orders. Demonstrate ability to make sound judgment. Evaluate suppliers. Negotiate contracts. Review product quality. Work with Quality Control to ensure quality product. Monitor
ISO/AS9100
standards. Stay within budget requirements of overall company and department. Work in a safe and professional manner, keeping a clean work area and proper protective equipment. Work within assigned deadlines. Exhibit excellent communication and organizational skills.
QUALIFICATIONS
. Must be at least 18 years old. Must meet "US Person" criteria per ITAR compliance regulations. Bachelor's Degree in business administration or a related field.4+ years of purchasing management experience. American Production and Inventory Control society (APICS) certification preferred. SAP software experience required. Strong knowledge of supply chain management required. Proven history of developing effective inventory management policies required. Ability to read, write and speak the English language with comprehension skills sufficient to understand safety standards and job performance expectations. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to interpret instructions which may be furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to use hands to finger, handle, or grab; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear. The employee rarely, if ever, is required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch and reach. The employee is required to sit for extensive lengths of time. The employee is occasionally required to lift and/or move 10 pounds and rarely lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Must wear steel-toe shoes/boots and other personal protective equipment such as hearing protection and safety glasses. The noise level in the environment is low and occasionally loud.
