About the Opportunity This is a GREAT opportunity for a driven procurement leader who is hungry for more and wants to join a Cincinnati-based private equity-backed, high-growth, established company in the role of Director of Procurement. They are seeking a driven procurement leader to help strengthen and scale its corporate procurement function. This is an excellent opportunity for a hungry, high-potential professional who may currently be in a manager, senior manager, or director-level role and is ready for the next step. The right person will be energized by the chance to take on broader ownership, gain visibility with senior leadership, and help shape how a growing organization manages vendor partnerships, purchasing decisions, and corporate spend. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building structure, improving processes, working cross-functionally, and making a measurable business impact in a fast-moving environment. About the Role The Procurement Leader will play a key role in improving how the company evaluates vendors, negotiates agreements, manages external partnerships, and supports smart purchasing decisions across the business. This person will work closely with business leaders, and executives, across multiple departments to create more consistency, transparency, and efficiency around procurement-related decisions. The role requires someone who can think strategically, use data to guide recommendations, and also stay close enough to the details to help move important initiatives forward. What You'll Do Help shape and improve the company's overall approach to procurement, vendor partnerships, and corporate purchasing Partner with internal leaders to better understand business needs, evaluate options, and support thoughtful vendor decisions Identify opportunities to simplify processes, reduce unnecessary complexity, and improve the way work gets done Support negotiations and commercial discussions with key external partners Help create clearer standards, tools, and processes for vendor selection, onboarding, contract review, and ongoing management Work with Finance and other business leaders to improve visibility into spend, vendor performance, and cost-saving opportunities Support company-wide initiatives involving new systems, vendor transitions, process improvements, and business growth Bring a practical, solutions-oriented mindset to procurement challenges across the organization Help build scalable processes that support a growing, fast-moving business Serve as a trusted partner to internal teams by bringing structure, data, and sound business judgment to purchasing decisions About You The ideal candidate is a motivated, high-EQ procurement or sourcing professional who is ready for a bigger platform and broader business impact. You may be a strong manager, senior manager, or director who has already built a solid foundation in procurement, strategic sourcing, vendor management, or corporate purchasing, and you are ready to take on more ownership. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, enjoy solving problems, and know how to balance strategy with execution. You can build relationships across departments, influence without authority, and bring structure to areas that may still be evolving. Desired Background Progressive experience in procurement, sourcing, vendor management, purchasing, or a related function Experience supporting corporate spend, vendor relationships, negotiations, and process improvement Strong business judgment and comfort working with financial and operational data Ability to partner effectively with leaders across departments Experience improving procurement processes, systems, reporting, or operating models Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a high-growth environment Experience in a private equity-backed, healthcare, staffing, professional services, or similarly fast-moving environment is a plus Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or relevant certification is a plus The Right Fit This role is best suited for someone who is ambitious, curious, resilient, and excited by the opportunity to help build something better.
