Full Job Description Summary of Job Description:
The Senior Manager, Strategic Sourcing, is responsible for the strategic sourcing strategy related to its assigned categories. This position's portfolio has a high level of impact on the company's financial performance and reputation. This position develops and executes the selection and evaluation of suppliers, and negotiates for assigned PRG products, This position ensures that the suppliers selected fit Panda's culture and philosophy, have the necessary capacity, and provide the items at the best price and specified quality. This position leads strategic sourcing professionals and managers within assigned categories.Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for development and execution of the 10-step strategic sourcing process for assigned product categories to support its business strategy and plan. Executes the company's strategic sourcing arrangements in support of its business strategy and plan. Identifies suppliers and arranges optimal contracts in terms of pricing, quality, timing, and supply availability over the term of the contract. Interacts with the highest level of executives at supplier companies. Advises senior leadership on the availability of specific products and pricing. Ensures costs are within budget. Develops and executes the five-year supply chain strategic plan, anticipating business requirements. The plan includes identifying supplier sources, their purchasing capacity, and any legal/tariff issues. Informs the SVP and senior leadership on industry insights, such as tariffs, import/export limitations, government regulations, Act of God situations, mergers, acquisitions, personnel changes, new item introduction, etc. Recruits, selects, and develops an effective strategic sourcing team. Provides leadership, coaching and development to the team to meet the department's people planning and development goals. Responsible for supplier development to support future growth and mitigate risk. Evaluates potential suppliers for new product lines and gains a deeper understanding of commodities. Collaborates with FSQA and other depts concerning the viability of their product and acceptability of their manufacturing facility. Negotiates with new suppliers over cost and collaborates with Supply Management team to bring product(s) into distribution and resolves escalated supplier issues Establishes and maintains a strong strategic supplier relationship Communicates with suppliers concerning all aspects of the partnership including PRG philosophy and growth plans and aligns suppliers with Panda to support our growth. Evaluates the effectiveness and fitness of suppliers to determine our strategic sourcing strategy. Leads cross-functional projects with other departments and Operations to support company goals. Collaborate with PMO and other cross-functional teams to support product Operation Tests, Market Tests, and LTOs by negotiating pricing, selecting suppliers (if applicable), communicate with suppliers on execution timeline, unique raw materials, etc. Supports global sourcing of products for both domestic and international operations as needed. Fully understands assigned categories as a commodity expert. Provides recommendations and direction in critical business decisions, tracks commodities markets and prices and supply, and determines strategy and direction for optimal strategic sourcing program.How we reward you:

- Benefits available for eligible permanent full time associates Your background and experience: Bachelor's degree required; CPSM certification preferred 7+ years of experience in Supply Chain Management, preferably in a multi-unit food service and/or manufacturing organization Successful completion of initial and periodically required trainings.
Pay Range:
