DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

The ideal candidate for this position will work in a strategic, large volume, deadline-driven procurement environment, driving the procurement activities for external logistics and steel processing services to meet the business goals of ArcelorMittal Calvert.

The Basics:

Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, or related field Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Logistics or Procurement role Strong working knowledge of large Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems Solid analytical skills Intermediate to proficient skills in the following: Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook) Market and industry research/analysis techniques Strategic sourcing best practices Understanding of Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)

Project Management The Extras:

Steel industry experience preferred

SAP, SAP SRM, ARIBA

knowledge preferred Intermediate understanding of and ability to read legal contracts

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

Evaluate, qualify, and accurately select suppliers in terms of quality, service, cost and capability Prepare, negotiate, execute, manage and coordinate agreements for assigned commodities and/or services Obtain quotes, analyze bids, and process requisitions and purchase orders as required Ensure plant needs and requirements are met while maintaining strong communication lines and high level of customer service with internal customers and supplier Develop cost reduction strategies and identify non value-added activities related to categories; Present and implement cost-savings ideas and opportunities Research assigned markets and understand the associated processes, knowledge of potential suppliers, and their capabilities Collaborate with various departments for problem resolution Demonstrate the company values of Safety, Teamwork, Accountability, Relationships, and Sustainability Fulfill the commitment to ensure a safe and healthy work environment Fulfill the responsibilities required to achieve the Quality Commitment Demonstrate commitment to teamwork by fostering an environment that embodies trust and respect Ensure working knowledge of competencies as defined in
