Job Description

Overview Cox Electric & Koolco is seeking a seasoned Finance & Purchasing Manager to lead the financial operations and procurement functions across our organization. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced trades environment and brings deep expertise in budgeting, inventory management, vendor relations, and financial reporting. You'll play a critical role in ensuring operational efficiency, cost control, and compliance across all purchasing and financial activities, including oversight of a 30,000 sq. ft. warehouse. Responsibilities Manage and oversee departmental budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and financial targets. Maintain accountability for inventory control across a 30,000 sq. ft. warehouse, ensuring accurate stock levels, proper storage, and timely replenishment. Oversee invoice management, accounts payable processes, and ensure timely vendor payments to maintain strong supplier relationships. Optimize inventory turnover and implement strategies to reduce carrying costs while maintaining adequate supply levels. Develop, maintain, and improve financial and operational reporting using QuickBooks Online. Manage and maintain the Service Titan Pricebook, ensuring pricing accuracy, consistency, and alignment with current market conditions. Collaborate with leadership and department heads to provide financial insights, forecasting, and recommendations that support strategic decision-making. Establish and enforce purchasing policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance and cost efficiency. Identify and implement process improvements to drive operational efficiency across finance and purchasing functions.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field. Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online in a professional setting. Demonstrated experience working within the trades industry (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or similar service-based businesses). Specific experience with Service Titan Pricebook management and maintenance. Proven track record of managing purchasing, inventory control, and vendor relationships. Strong analytical skills with the ability to optimize reporting functions and translate financial data into actionable insights. Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supervising warehouse operations or logistics functions. Familiarity with additional field service management platforms beyond Service Titan. Prior experience implementing process improvements or system upgrades in a finance or operations role. Knowledge of supply chain management principles and best practices for the trades industry.
Pay:
$30.00 - $45.00 per hour
