Controller Job Summary The Purchasing Manager oversees all purchasing functions for Advanced Video Group, ensuring timely, cost‑effective procurement of materials, equipment, and supplies. This role requires strong negotiation skills, excellent communication, high attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment. The Purchasing Manager collaborates closely with Project Management, Installation, Sales, and the Controller to support company goals and maintain accurate purchasing and inventory records. Primary Responsibilities Manage all purchasing activities for materials, equipment, and supplies across all projects. Issue purchase orders, maintain purchase order files, and ensure accuracy of all documentation. Negotiate pricing, terms, and vendor agreements to secure the best value for the company. Recording and reconciling freight expenses. Research products, parts, and materials as needed, including coordination with leadership for specialized research. Coordinate with Project Managers and Installation teams to ensure timely delivery of required materials. Track shipments, follow up on delivery status, and resolve delays or discrepancies. Maintain organized digital and physical purchasing records. Assist with data entry, vendor communication, and cross‑departmental purchasing needs. Participate in strategic planning and process improvement initiatives with leadership. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and purchasing standards. Required Education, Experience & Skills 2‑ or 4‑year degree preferred. QuickBooks experience. Strong Excel skills; ability to manage spreadsheets, reports, and purchasing logs. High level of organization and accuracy; able to multitask effectively. Strong negotiation skills and product/parts knowledge. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments. Must demonstrate consistent attendance, self motivation and take initiative in completing tasks. Professional, dependable, and able to maintain confidentiality. Subject to background check and credit check. Measures of Success Accurate, timely purchasing that supports project schedules and operational needs. Effective communication with vendors, internal teams, and leadership. Strong inventory control and minimal material shortages or delays. Demonstrated cost savings through negotiation and vendor management. Active participation in strategic planning and continuous improvement initiatives. Organized, complete, and audit‑ready purchasing documentation. Performance Review Process Performance reviews are conducted semi‑annually by the direct manager.

Pay:

$55,000.00 - $68,000.00 per year
