About the Role We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Procurement Manager to lead the sourcing and supply chain management of critical raw materials used in photovoltaic (PV) cell manufacturing, including: Polysilicon Granular Silicon Silicon Wafer Substrates Front-side Silver Paste Rear-side Silver Paste Aluminum Paste This role is responsible for developing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, controlling costs, ensuring material quality and delivery performance, and supporting stable production operations. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of the solar manufacturing industry and experience managing strategic suppliers both domestically and internationally. •Mandarin Chinese and English bilingual communication skills are required for this position due to frequent interactions with overseas suppliers and global business partners. Key Responsibilities Procurement Strategy & Planning Develop annual, quarterly, and monthly procurement plans based on production forecasts, capacity expansion plans, and inventory levels. Monitor market trends, pricing fluctuations, supply-demand dynamics, and industry developments. Create and implement sourcing strategies, including long-term agreements, spot purchases, inventory planning, and price-locking strategies. Collaborate with Production, Planning, Operations, and Warehouse teams to maintain optimal inventory levels. Supplier Development & Management Identify, evaluate, qualify, and onboard suppliers of photovoltaic raw materials. Build and maintain a strategic supplier network across domestic and international markets. Lead supplier audits, site visits, sample validation, pilot testing, and production qualification activities. Establish supplier performance metrics covering quality, cost, delivery, responsiveness, capacity, and compliance. Manage supplier scorecards and drive corrective actions when needed. Cost Management & Contract Negotiation Lead commercial negotiations and contract discussions with suppliers. Drive annual cost reduction initiatives while maintaining quality and supply continuity. Prepare, review, and execute purchasing agreements, framework contracts, and related procurement documents. Manage payment terms, pricing structures, risk mitigation provisions, and supplier performance commitments. Supply Chain & Delivery Management Monitor procurement orders from production scheduling through delivery. Anticipate and mitigate supply chain risks, shortages, logistics disruptions, and delivery delays. Coordinate cross-functionally to resolve material shortages and urgent supply issues. Manage incoming material discrepancies, supplier claims, returns, and corrective actions. Quality & Technical Collaboration Work closely with Engineering, R&D, Process Engineering, and Quality teams to qualify new materials and suppliers. Support material testing, certification, and implementation of next-generation PV materials. Investigate material quality issues and collaborate with suppliers on continuous improvement initiatives. Stay informed on emerging technologies and innovations within the solar materials market. Team Leadership & Compliance Lead and mentor procurement team members. Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, ethical sourcing standards, and industry regulations. Develop procurement processes, reporting systems, and performance metrics. Support executive reporting, market analysis, and special procurement projects. QualificationsEducation Bachelor's degree or higher in: Supply Chain Management Materials Science Business Administration Logistics Renewable Energy Related disciplines Experience Minimum 5 years of procurement experience within the photovoltaic, solar energy, semiconductor, or related manufacturing industries. Minimum 3 years of direct sourcing experience in: Silicon Materials,Solar Cell Raw Materials Conductive Pastes (Silver Paste, Aluminum Paste, etc.) Prior people management experience preferred. Existing supplier network within the solar materials industry is highly desirable.
Technical Skills Strong understanding of:
Polysilicon Granular Silicon Silicon Wafers Silver Paste Aluminum Paste Solar cell manufacturing processes Proven experience with strategic sourcing, supplier management, and contract negotiations. Strong analytical, cost modeling, and market intelligence capabilities. Experience using ERP systems, procurement software, and Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of ISO quality systems and supply chain compliance standards.
Language Requirements Required:
Professional proficiency in English and Mandarin Chinese (written and verbal) The role requires regular communication with suppliers, manufacturers, and business partners located in China and other international markets.
Pay:
$65,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
