Job Description
Description Robert Half is currently recruiting for a skilled Sourcing Manager to lead procurement operations and optimize purchasing strategies for our client. Based in Knoxville, Tennessee, this role will focus on streamlining procurement processes, ensuring cost efficiency, and managing vendor relationships. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in contract negotiations, competitive pricing, and procurement systems to drive business success.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to achieve cost savings and operational efficiency.
- Oversee the creation, processing, and tracking of purchase orders to ensure timely and accurate transactions.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms, competitive pricing, and compliance with company policies.
- Monitor and analyze market trends, tariffs, and pricing fluctuations to make informed purchasing decisions.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure consistent supply and quality.
- Lead the development and enforcement of departmental standard operating procedures (SOPs) to enhance performance.
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure procurement effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align procurement activities with business goals and project timelines.
- Ensure compliance with corporate procurement policies and regulatory requirements.
- Manage procurement activities using SAP and other relevant tools to optimize workflows. A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or related field is required with 5+ years of experience. - A minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate procurement or a related field.
- Strong expertise in managing purchase orders, buying processes, and procurement functions.
- Proven track record in contract negotiations and securing competitive pricing.
- Familiarity with tariffs and their impact on procurement strategies.
- Experience in developing and enforcing departmental SOPs.
- Proficiency in KPI reporting and performance analysis.
- Ability to build and maintain effective vendor relationships.
- Advanced knowledge of SAP and other procurement management tools.
