We're looking for an experienced Inventory Manager/Purchaser to own our procurement operation end-to-end. What you'll do: Manage purchasing across trailers, truck accessories, trailer parts, and special orders Navigate pricing, freight thresholds, and minimum order requirements across 50+ vendors — many carrying overlapping SKUs — to make smart, cost-effective sourcing decisions Identify and qualify new vendors; lead initial outreach and setup negotiations to expand our supplier base Maintain optimal stock levels on fast-moving parts to support direct ordering and reduce distributor dependency Own inventory accuracy in our DMS; conduct cycle counts and reconcile variances Manage returns and vendor credits from initiation to resolution Maintain showroom floor organization and merchandising; occasional hands-on support alongside the inventory associate as needed Support special-order and project-based procurement for fleet and custom trailer builds Bonus if you bring: Familiarity with the trailer industry, truck accessory trends, and supplier landscape — with interest in sourcing new product lines from trade shows Experience with ecommerce or Shopify as we build out that channel What you bring: 5+ years in purchasing or inventory management in high-volume industrial, trailer, or closely related distribution Proven ability to manage a large, overlapping vendor matrix and make cost-effective sourcing decisions Strong system skills — DMS, ERP, or comparable inventory platform Detail-oriented, self-directed, and comfortable in a fast-moving owner-operated environment
