Job Description
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Foster relationships with vendors to achieve better pricing and quality of services
- Generate and place purchase orders to ensure product availability meets demand
- Conduct market research and suggest appropriate pricing and promotional activities
- Continuously conduct market research such as reading trade magazines, attending trade shows, and shopping competitors in order to stay innovative within the C-Store Industry.
- Analyze data or insights to determine industry and consumer trends
- Determine competitive pricing and promotional activities of a product category
- Analyze and determine the best course of action to rectify low sales (Discontinue, Substitute, or Replace)
- Managing the optimal portfolio of products, identifying gaps, and constant cleansing via SKU rationalization, to create value for our retail members
- Facilitate quarterly meetings with vendors to review their products success
- Creating marketing strategies for new product and executing the project from concept to launch
- Review and analyze daily reports including, but not limited to out-of-stock, price increases, and pending PO s
- Provide tactical level of operational support to
Warehouse Department Heads Experience and Skills:
- 5 years Procurement experience
- Bachelor s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field
- Strong Category Management skills
- Experience with data analysis and highly developed analytical skills
- Contract negotiation skills
- Ability to collaborate with internal departments and external customers/clients to ensure the achievement of business objectives
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills with ability to multitask and prioritize
- Experience with
Microsoft Office and SAP Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor s Degree, or equivalent work experience, knowledge, skills
