Job Description

Overview We are seeking experienced Buyer III professionals to support procurement and supplier management for advanced spaceflight systems. This role is responsible for driving sourcing strategies, managing suppliers, and owning the full procurement lifecycle in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.

Merritt Island, FL or Kent, WA (onsite)
Shift Time:
40 hours/week, standard business hours
Pay Rate:
Up to $70/hr with benefits Depends on location & experience Responsibilities Manage and direct suppliers supporting external development of spaceflight systems Prepare and issue RFPs/RFQs, perform price analysis, and develop negotiation strategies Own procurement lifecycle from requisition through final payment and issue resolution Lead strategic sourcing efforts including Long-Term Agreements (LTAs) Negotiate and manage multiple contract types (FFP, T&M, CPFF, CPIF) Ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of materials meeting technical requirements Support procurement strategy and align with organizational goals Track performance metrics and manage competing priorities in an ambiguous environment Required /
Preferred Qualifications Required:
5+ years of procurement/buying experience (Buyer III level) Strong experience in supplier management and procurement processes Experience negotiating multiple contract types (FFP, T&M, cost type) Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet tight deadlines Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Familiarity with AS9100 standards Understanding of engineering data (specifications, drawings)
Preferred:
Aerospace or space industry experience Experience with avionics or fluid components Knowledge of
ITAR/EAR
regulations
Certifications:
CPSM, CSCP, or PMP Experience with tools such as Deltek Costpoint, Jira, SharePoint #LI-MR1
