Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Purchasing Manager to lead our procurement operations and drive supply chain excellence. In this role, you will oversee the sourcing, negotiation, and management of supplier relationships to ensure the timely acquisition of quality materials and services. Your expertise will optimize procurement processes, enhance supplier performance, and support manufacturing and production objectives. Join us to play a pivotal role in strengthening our supply chain resilience and operational efficiency through innovative sourcing strategies and effective contract management. Duties Develop and execute comprehensive procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals and market trends. Lead supplier sourcing initiatives, including evaluating potential vendors, conducting negotiations, and establishing mutually beneficial contracts. Manage procurement activities utilizing ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle EBS, and other supply chain management tools to streamline purchasing workflows. Oversee contract negotiations ensuring compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and other relevant standards. Collaborate with manufacturing, logistics, quality management, and production planning teams to forecast needs and optimize inventory levels using MRP systems. Conduct root cause analysis for supply disruptions or quality issues to implement corrective actions swiftly. Maintain strong supplier relationships through ongoing performance evaluations, supplier management programs, and category management practices. Ensure procurement processes adhere to company policies, legal requirements, and industry best practices while supporting cost reduction initiatives. Skills Proficiency in ERP systems such as procurement management tools. Expertise in contract negotiation, contract management, and sourcing strategies across diverse categories. Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles including logistics, materials management, production planning, and procurement processes. Experience with federal regulations like FAR for government or defense-related procurement projects. Skilled in supplier management techniques including vendor evaluation, performance tracking, and relationship building. Ability to perform root cause analysis related to supply issues or process inefficiencies. Familiarity with pricing strategies, quality assurance standards, and manufacturing workflows. Excellent negotiation skills combined with strategic thinking to optimize costs while maintaining quality standards. Pay:
$70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
