Program Director/Site Coordinator Job Summary:
This role involves offering tailored individual and group instruction to student participating in the 21st CCLC program. Additionally, it includes tracking student progress and applying the curriculum according to their needs. The teacher or instructor will also manage benchmark assessment and progress monitoring data, sharing these results with parents and the site coordinator.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist the Site Coordinator, Program Director and teachers in implementing 21st CCLC activities to support student learning and engagement. Support daily program operations, including attendance tracking, student supervision, and maintain a structured, student-centered environment. Encourage students participation in enrichment activities that promote creativity, critical thinking, and social-emotional development. Develop and complete weekly lesson plans for intervention and enrichment activities that align with student needs and program goals. Perform clerical tasks as assigned by the Site Coordinator, including maintaining records, organizing materials and assisting with progam documentation. Collaborate with regular school-day teachers to monitor student progress and ensure continuity in academic achievement. Efficiently utilize available space, resources and staff to enhance program effectiveness. Assist the Site Coordinator in preparing and distributing monthly communications to parents to encourage family engagement. Maintain a clean, organized, and engaging learning environment for students. Record and manage daily student attendance withing the classroom and complete evaluations based on input from day-school teachers. Support family engagement by preparing parent communications and participating in events and workshops. Communicate effectively with staff, school administration, students and parents to foster a supportive and collaborative program environment. Manage and maintain supplies and equipment, ensuring proper usage and storage. Attend team meetings to contribute to program planning and continuous improvement. Perform additional duties as assigned to support the success of the program.
Qualifications:
Required Minimum of one year successful experience as a classroom teacher. Current Alabama Teacher's Certification Bachelor's Degree Excellent written and oral communication skills. Desired Master's Degree Work experience related to grant programs/proposals. ADA Requirements Physical & Mental Requirements Ability to deal with stressful situations. Possesses analytical skills and a strategic mindset. Ability to deal with a wide variety of community people, students and service vendors.
Terms of Employment:
Salary and benefits in accordance with a compensation program recommended by the administration and approved by the Midfield Board of Education. Funding is provided through the 21st Century Grant and will be reviewed on a yearly basis. This position is a non-tenured track position.
