Job Description

Position Overview:
The Character & Leadership Coordinator driv es the character and leadership programs of Boys & Girls Clubs of the Valley. T his role is responsible for the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of the character-building initiatives that align to the Formula for Impact, Character & Leadership priority outcome area.
Responsibilities:
Leads the design , implementation , and enrichment of organizational programs in the Character & Leadership outcome area , including Keystone, Torch Club, and the Jr. YOY programs . Reviews curriculum and develop s systems to maintain consistent, high-quality programs and services that support leadership skill development . Guides program delivery and staff training/ support , ensuring that programs are delivered effectively within the Clubs , and desired outcomes are achieved . Monitors participant engagement, evaluates program effectiveness, and utilize continuous quality improvement practices , leading all Branches in Torch Club chartership and program experiences and each teen-serving Club to charter in Keystone, while also developing a strong roster of potential Youths of the Year . Coordinates local, regional, and organizational Keystone and Torch Club events , including conferences, volunteer opportun it ies, workshops, and outreach . Co llaborates with Club leadership, community partners, volunteer organizations to expand opportunities available to Club youth, and that improve programming, staff training opportunities and/or access to services. Represents the organization at relevant events and conferences to highlight program achievements.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED or equivalent Current Arizona Driver's license Minimum of 6 months youth development experience with focus on leadership and volunteerism. Familiarity with current trends in youth leadership and advocacy , including innovative out-of-school time facilitation methodologies Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders Demonstrated ability to manage and mentor various teams
