Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and energetic Day Program Coordinator to lead and oversee daily activities within our community-based programs. This vital role involves coordinating services, supervising staff, and fostering meaningful relationships with individuals with developmental disabilities. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader dedicated to creating an engaging, supportive environment that promotes independence, social skills, and overall well-being. Your enthusiasm and organizational skills will drive program success and ensure participants receive high-quality care and support every day. Bilangual is a plus due to having a number of spanish speakers. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and evaluate daily program activities tailored to participants' needs and interests. Manage program operations, including scheduling, resource allocation, and adherence to regulatory standards. Supervise staff members, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure a cohesive team environment. Build strong relationships with participants, families, caregivers, and community partners to promote engagement and support networks. Oversee administrative tasks such as documentation, progress reports, incident repporting and compliance records to maintain program integrity. Monitor budgets and manage supplies to ensure efficient program delivery while adhering to financial guidelines. Respond promptly to behavioral health concerns or emergencies, collaborating with support coordinators, parents or gardians, and behavioral health professionals when necessary. Skills Proven management experience with the ability to lead diverse teams effectively. Strong background in program development and implementation within social services or community programs. Experience working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities or related behavioral health needs. Excellent relationship management skills to foster trust with participants, families, staff, and community stakeholders. Solid administrative skills including record keeping, budgeting, and compliance documentation. Supervising experience that demonstrates leadership in a dynamic environment. Knowledge of behavioral health principles and best practices for supporting individuals with developmental challenges. $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
