Job Description

Job Summary Under the direction of the assigned director, manage, coordinate, provide training and implement statewide testing mandates including but not limited to: STAR, CAPA, CMA, CELDT/ALPI and Physical Fitness Testing. Assist with the preparation of the annual School Accountability Report Card. Coordinate division-wide in-service training and professional development activities, including, but not limited to, preservice training for new teachers, mandatory annual training orientation week activities, monthly in-service activities and on-going professional development activities based on surveyed needs of staff. Coordinate and work with the Curriculum Committee in meeting the identified educational goals of individuals with exceptional needs. Provide support as needed in maintaining curriculum projects and participate as a member of the county Curriculum Advisory Committee. This position is located at the Christine L. Fraizier Student Services Center in Bakersfield, CA. Requirements /
Qualifications Education:
1. Must hold California Administrative Credential. 2. Must hold a Master's degree earned at an accredited college or university. 3. Must hold Special Education or Related Credential.
Experience:
1. Minimum of three (3) years of special education experience in a certificated position. 2. In depth experience and knowledge of special education programs and related legal issues and regulations governing special education and disabled individuals. 3. A history of demonstrated excellence in oral and written communication. 4. Staff development experience preferred. 5. Administrative experience preferred. Must possess a private vehicle, valid California driver's license and carry current automobile insurance with at least minimum coverage for public liability and property damage. Fingerprint clearance by both the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the California Department of Justice is a condition of appointment after all other required job conditions have been met. Job Summary Under general supervision, to operate a field trip or a charter-style school bus or transportation vehicle to various locations throughout the county and state. Work a flexible daily schedule - reporting times may vary; transport passengers from school sites and other county organizations to designated locations on an activity and field trip; transport special education students on activity or field trips; may transport children, parents and teachers on field and activity trips; and to do other related work as required. Qualifications Education:
Education equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade. Possession of a valid Class B, Motor Vehicle Operator's License, Possession of a School Bus Driver's Certificate, with medical certificate, issued by the California Highway Patrol, including the ability to obtain a current Medic First-Aid card.
Experience:
One year of experience in the transportation of field and school activity trips required. A scanner to upload required documents is available in the Human Resources office located at 1330 Truxtun Ave., Bakersfield, CA 93301.

Qualifications Experience:
