Job Description
Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Acquisitions Specialist to support a company focused on delivering mission-critical capabilities within the national security space and defense acquisition community. This position is on-site at El Segundo, CA . The Acquisitions Specialist will support program and project leadership by driving acquisition strategy, financial execution, and program planning across high-impact defense initiatives. This is a unique opportunity to directly contribute to space and national security missions shaping the future of defense. Responsibilities for the Acquisitions Specialist include: Provide strategic acquisition guidance to Program/Project Managers including contracting, budgeting, and execution support Develop acquisition plans, schedules, executive briefings, and coordinate technical interchange and staff meetings Draft and manage program documentation aligned with DoD 5000.02 and rapid prototyping acquisition frameworks Conduct technical and programmatic assessments during design and milestone reviews to evaluate risk, progress, and mission success Support financial management activities including funding execution, reporting, and program element coordination Required Qualifications for the Acquisitions Specialist include: 5+ years of experience supporting DoD weapon systems acquisition, program management, or contracts management Experience with DoD acquisition processes including Major Capability Acquisition, JCIDS, and PPBE Strong analytical, financial, and program management skills with experience supporting government or defense contractor environments Bachelor's degree in Business Management or related field (Master's preferred) Active TS/SCI clearance with eligibility for SCI access and willingness to undergo polygraph Compensation for the Acquisitions Specialist include:
