POSITION SUMMARY
The SJVV Program Coordinator will oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of various programs aimed at supporting veterans. This role involves coordinating with staff, clients, and community partners to ensure effective service delivery, managing program logistics, and maintaining compliance with organizational policies and funding requirements. Essential Job Functions include those listed below.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Program Management:
Develop, implement, and monitor program activities to meet the needs of veterans. Ensure all program activities are aligned with organizational goals and comply with funding requirements. Coordinate the scheduling and facilitation of program events, workshops, and group sessions.
Client Services:
Serve as a primary point of contact for program participants, providing support and addressing any concerns.
Staff Supervision:
Recruit, hire, train, and supervise program staff. Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, professional growth, and high performance.
Staff Coordination:
Supervise program staff, including assigning tasks, providing guidance, and conducting performance evaluations. Facilitate regular team meetings to ensure effective communication and coordination among staff members. Provide training and professional development opportunities for staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Partnership and Community Engagement:
Establish and maintain relationships with community partners, including local agencies, service providers, and other stakeholders. Represent SJVV at community events, meetings, and networking opportunities to promote the program and build partnerships.
Administrative Duties:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of program activities, client interactions, and staff performance. Prepare and submit reports to the Program Director and funding agencies as required. Assist in the development and management of the program budget, including tracking expenses and ensuring cost-effective operations. May provide coverage for the programs, at meetings, or community events in the absence of the Program Director. Compliance and Quality Assurance:
Ensure all program activities comply with organizational policies, funding requirements, and relevant regulations. Implement quality assurance measures to maintain high standards of service delivery. Address any compliance issues promptly and effectively. Must Embrace and embody the mission, vision, guiding principles, clinical vision, and goals of WestCare Foundation; and Perform all other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the duties and responsibilities satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Experience and Competencies:
Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion. Ability to work well in a team environment. Adherence to the highest standard of ethical conduct, especially to standards governing confidentiality. Professional appearance and demeanor. Military/Veteran preferred. Must be able to successfully obtain and maintain a criminal background clearance Valid driver's license and ability to obtain and maintain WestCare's vehicle insurance is required. Ability to obtain and maintain a criminal history background check. CPR Certification, First Aid Certification, and an annual Tuberculosis test. EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
One (1) year experience in supervision/management. Must possess knowledge of veteran's benefits, housing challenges, employment barriers, and other veterans' issues including the impact of mental health/substance abuse disorders on veterans and their families. Graduation from an accredited four-year college with a degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Human Services is preferred.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is primarily performed in an office or treatment setting. Some outdoor activities may be required. Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays. Transportation of clients in company vehicle.
