Job Description:
Dynasty's United Youth Association is now hiring a dynamic Academic Instructional Coach to support in-school and after-school programming across multiple sites in South Los Angeles and Koreatown, ensuring high-quality academic, enrichment, and youth development services. We are looking for a team member to coordinate and oversee after-school programming by managing daily operations, staff schedules, student engagement activities, and program compliance. Requirements:
21+ years old 6+ months of experience in youth programs, education, or after-school coordination AA or Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Work, Youth Development, or related field preferred Valid driver's license & insurance (must be willing to travel between sites) Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Experience with behavior management and youth development preferred Experience with supervising staff/volunteers/team members
Responsibilities :
Provides supervision, care, and accountability for all participants, including students, interns, parents, and staff (ages 5-18). Coordinates with the Executive Director and Director to develop and review staff and student schedules, activity plans, and special events that meet children's physical, social, emotional, and cognitive needs. Prepares and implements program activities, observing and documenting children's developmental progress to inform planning. Engages in program evaluation using designated tools and shares feedback with partners and parents about program activities. Ensures compliance with program policies and collaborates with the Executive Director, leadership, and HR. Manages staff assignments, schedules, and organizes meetings, events, and fundraising efforts. Establishes a supportive environment for participants and fosters positive interactions. Conducts bi-weekly evaluations with staff to ensure performance quality and supports staff training as needed. Oversees program technology use, manages student diagnostic reports, and maintains logs and records for DUYA. Provides academic support during staff shortages.
