Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY MOVE
is a nonprofit corporation that is designated as the Consolidated Transportation Services Agency (CTSA) for Stanislaus County. The Placer Rides/BRIDGES Specialist is a full-time position. This position includes processing applications and mileage reimbursement claims, creating business correspondence, mailings, answering phones, filing, data entry, and working with veterans, older adults and individuals with disabilities. This position requires the skills and ability to use mileage software programs, interface with banking institutions, and provide public outreach including workshops and telephone or teleconference technical support meetings with program participants. This position prepares reports and conducts analysis detailing annual performance goals and program outcomes. This position is required to travel to Placer County to perform work or participate in public outreach activities or events to promote the Placer Rides program.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Experience:
Minimum three years' recent experience in preferably a transportation organization, human service agency, or in a closely related field or equivalent required. Additionally, needs to have effective communication and organizational skills with excellent phone manners.
Education:
Minimum two years AA degree (prefer bachelor's degree) in business administration, management study, transportation management, public administration, or closely related field, from an accredited college or university or equivalent required or at least 3 years of experience in transportation or transit agency or similar industry.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/MINIMUM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must have reliable transportation, possession of a valid California driver's license, and comprehensive vehicle insurance. Fluency in Spanish preferred. You must have physical, visual, and auditory ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations. 2 ESSENTIAL
FUNCTIONS 1.
Calculate, audit, and verify mileage for qualified trips submitted for reimbursement. 2. Process applications for eligibility. 3. Send out letters of eligibility. 4. Answers phones and assist members of the public and participants with information about the Placer Rides or BRIDGES program and assist with the application process and technical support in using the online claim portal. 5. Ability to maintain effective work relationships with those contacted in the performance of required duties. 6. Participants and arrange public outreach activities and events. 7. Ability to communicate with individuals with limited ability to understand or who have difficulty communicating. 8. Ability to relate empathetically with elderly, physically, developmentally, mentally, and sensory disabled clientele. 9. Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information and reports 10. Performs support activities such as reporting to ensure program achieves stated objectives and requirements. 11.Ability to utilize QuickBooks to prepare reimbursement checks for active clients monthly. 12. Prepares data for applicant file for entry into customized software. 13. Prepares reports from data compiled and records kept related to assigned areas of responsibility. 14. Establishes and maintains unit files which may include a variety of records 15. Prepare informational packets to send out to individuals. 16. Works with partnering agencies on program eligibility to ensure duplication of services is eliminated. 17.Receives, reviews, and verifies documents, records, and forms for accuracy, completeness, and conformance to applicable rules, regulations, policies, procedures and requirements. 18.Research and assist with development of electronic billing processes. 19. Uphold Company policies for safety, completed mandatory training, supervision, mandated reporting and risk management. 20.All other duties as assigned by supervisor.
