Hours:

Monday

• Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Summary of Duties:

• Under the supervision of the Senior Executive Director, Implements and maintains the dementia program to Belmont's standards, policies, and procedures regarding the neighborhood.
• Works collaboratively with Learning Coordinator to develop monthly activity calendars for the dementia neighborhood using the current residents life stories.
• Ensures adequate staffing through staff scheduling.
• Actively participates in accident, injury and illness prevention activities.
• Actively communicates health and safety information to employees and facilitate their involvement in health and safety activities and participate in accident, injury and illness prevention activities.
• Participates in family events and promote partnership with family.
• Maintains an adequate inventory of activity supplies through using weekly checklists.
• Facilitate activities utilizing the typical day structure.
• Completes health and safety audits finding closure within 30 days.

Education requirements:

None Experience requirements: 2 years of experience in any occupation working with memory care/dementia residents

Special Skills or Other Requirements:

Must have work experience in: 1. Health and safety issues with residents 2. Accident and injury prevention with residents 3. Dementia resident activity facilitation 4. Working and supporting a 24/7 community operation 5. Managing a team including staffing, scheduling, recruiting, budgets and performance management
