ROLE SUMMARY
The Program Services Manager provides operational leadership and oversight for Mental Wellness Center's Wellness & Recovery Programs, including peer support, family advocacy, family engagement, and direct service programs. This position is responsible for staff supervision, program coordination, service delivery oversight, community collaboration, data reporting, and continuous program improvement to ensure services are accessible, recovery-oriented, culturally responsive, and aligned with the organization's mission and values. Clinical supervision is available upon request.
CORE RESPONSIBILITES
Program Operations & Service Oversight Oversee daily operations of assigned programs to ensure effective and accessible service delivery. Monitor service quality, program outcomes, and participant engagement. Support implementation of program policies, procedures, and best practices. Strengthen referral processes, service coordination, documentation practices, and communication workflows. Ensure services are delivered in alignment with recovery-oriented, trauma-informed, and person-centered principles. Oversee peer support, family advocacy, family engagement, resource navigation, support groups, warm handoffs, and connection-to-care services across assigned programs. Staff Leadership & Supervision Supervise, coach, and support assigned staff, interns, and volunteers. Conduct regular team meetings, performance evaluations, and development planning. Support onboarding, training, and ongoing professional development. Address performance concerns and promote accountability, engagement, and professional growth. Provide guidance during crisis situations, staffing challenges, and service disruptions. Documentation, Data, & Compliance Support grant reporting, data collection, outcome measurement, and program reporting requirements. Ensure compliance with agency policies, confidentiality standards, mandated reporting requirements, and applicable regulations. Education & Experience Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related behavioral health field. Minimum three (3) years of progressively responsible program coordination, program management, or leadership experience. Minimum three (3) years of supervisory experience. Experience working with individuals and/or families impacted by mental health challenges. Experience overseeing or coordinating peer support, family advocacy, family engagement, community-based services, or direct service programs. Experience supporting multidisciplinary teams, which may include peer staff, family advocates, clinicians, interns, volunteers, or community partners. Experience with program evaluation, data collection, outcome measurement, grant reporting, or quality improvement initiatives. Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency, including the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, is highly preferred. Licenses & Certifications Active California licensure or registration as an LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, Psychologist, Associate, or other qualifying behavioral health credential, or actively pursuing licensure. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record consistent with MWC's policy and insurance requirements if driving is required. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledge of trauma-informed and recovery-oriented practices, and culturally responsive service delivery models. Knowledge of behavioral health systems, community resources, and systems of care. Ability to provide effective staff supervision, coaching, mentorship, and performance management. Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, staff needs, and program responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Ability to utilize critical thinking, problem-solving, conflict-resolution, and de-escalation skills. Ability to analyze data, prepare reports, and utilize outcomes to support program improvement. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic documentation, reporting, and data management systems.
