Job Description

Primary Function:
This position oversees the mentor program implemented at the club site under the OJJDP guidelines. Plans, implements, supervises, and evaluations programs in 5 core areas including; education, arts, recreation, athletics, and technology. Develops and fosters healthy relationships, with all youth, in assigned shared space. Position Hours are
Typically:
Monday-Friday 1:00 pm-6:00 pm ( Occasional Saturdays) 10:00 am-4:00pm
Key Job Responsibilities:
  • Implement Mentor Program and meet deliverables for OJJDP Mentoring Grant.
  • Collaborate and partner with other nationally recognized mentoring agencies to recruit, train and supplement existing mentoring program
  • Submit program reports in timely manner (quarterly) via Online Program Reporting System; review reports with Director at least 1 week prior to due date
  • Track and report mentor and mentee hours in the Clubs Member Tracking System.
  • Organize, plan and implement mentor training, parties and recognition in collaboration with partnering agencies.
  • Provide guidance to volunteer mentors as they work to build supportive relationships with our club members.
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • AA degree preferred, but not required
  • Passion to work with youth of various ages
  • Ability to deal effectively with members, including discipline problems
  • Adaptability and flexibility to changes in work environment
  • Cleared background check and drug screen
Job Type:
Part-time Pay:
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
