Job Description

Based in Santa Clarita to supervise and assist Program Instructors that work with adults with developmental disabilities.
DUTIES:
Assists with program oversight, quality assurance and resource development; Provide ongoing supervision and training of qualified direct care staff; Conduct on-site visits to monitor program and staff performance; Provide input at probation and annual evaluation periods; Coordinate monthly in-service trainings; Arrange for staff substitution in cases of vacation or sick leave; Monitor and train staff in implementation of program activities and paperwork; Liaison between senior management and direct care staff; Liaison with regional center service coordinators, parents, employers, and other parties; Arrange community paid/volunteer work, training and activities to promote independence; Assist with data collection, initiating and maintaining client files, and filing; Participate in annual IPP meetings; Prepare annual Individual Service Plans (ISP) and semi-annual Consumer Progress Reports (CPR) for each consumer with assistance from direct care staff; Coordinate transportation and daily client pick ups; Document incidents as necessary and send approved copies to appropriate parties; Document all verbal/written warnings, conversations and meetings involving consumers and staff for supervisor review; Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
One-year experience working in a program for the developmentally disabled; One-year experience in a supervisory role; Ability to analyze situations accurately and take effective action; Ability to conduct community outreach and promote programs; Ability to keep accurate records, write reports, and perform general office functions; Excellent verbal and written English language and communication skills; Bilingual in Korean/English preferred; Must meet all new employee requirements: possess a valid California driver's license, good driving record, and current auto insurance; hold or be in the process of obtaining a first aid certificate; pass a vehicle safety test; submit to fingerprinting; and other related requirements.
