  • Full-time Job Summary Under the direction of the Coordinator IV, the YouthBuild Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of community service projects and the collection and input of data to ensure achievement of grant deliverables.
This position will recruit, supervise, mentor, and provide guidance to program participants. This position will also collaborate with community organizations, schools, and employers to provide a holistic experience for the program participants.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Essential functions may include, but are not limited to: Work effectively with school districts, community organizations, government agencies, parents, students, and/or staff. Maintain confidentiality on issues concerning the program and staff. Supervise and lead staff. Participate, coordinate, or conduct a variety of meetings, committees, trainings, workshops, and/or conferences in order to present materials and information concerning department programs, services, operations, and activities; represent the SJCOE at local, regional, and state meetings, conferences, in-services, boards, councils, and events. Maintain current knowledge and interpret applicable rules, regulations, policies, procedures, contracts, State and Federal laws, codes, and regulations. Communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Analyze situations accurately and adopt an effective course of action. Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others. Work independently with little direction. Meet schedules and timelines. Prepare reports as needed for the program. Conduct orientations for all new participants to ensure they are knowledgeable about program goals and requirements. Monitor participants' timekeeping, attendance, and performance against program objectives. Collect and document performance data for program participants, ensuring accurate and timely reporting All other duties as assigned.
Requirements / Qualifications
Possess a Bachelor's Degree and/or experience that demonstrates expertise in working with youth development and community organizations.
