We are seeking an experienced Agile Release Train (ART) Program Manager to lead the cost and schedule performance of our ART teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for resolving roadblocks, ensuring team staffing and capacity, reviewing and approving variances, and prioritizing and resolving impediments. This role requires strong communication and coordination skills, as well as the ability to drive cost performance, manage risks, and develop decision-making metrics. A key aspect of this position will be transforming the culture of the program to embrace agile and iterative development concepts.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the cost and schedule performance of the ART, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery of program objectives
  • Coordinate with OBS managers and RTE to resolve roadblocks and impediments
  • Collaborate with OBS leads to ensure team staffing and capacity align with schedule requirements
  • Review and approve variances, and provide approval for PI planning outbriefs
  • Prioritize and resolve impediments in conjunction with the RTE
  • Provide direction to the ART and its teams to meet cost and schedule objectives
  • Maintain awareness of TPCL and help define and shape future capabilities
  • Guide design concepts and criteria, and integrate new capabilities through PI planning
  • Communicate program scope, deliverables, and priorities to the ART team
  • Foster bi-directional and transparent communication with the
ART, TED
PM, and executive leadership
  • Coordinate with cross-disciplinary teams, including ARTs and OBS functions
  • Manage ART risks, determine which risks to elevate to the Program ROMB, and develop mitigation strategies
  • Develop and present program metrics, including IBR content, at PDPWG and STAR meetings
  • Provide input into CPAR comment responses and coordinate with customers on product status, performance, and challenges/risks Desired skills

  • Experience with developing, integrating and managing detailed plans/schedules in support of US and FMS DoD missile defense technical requirements
  • Experience with Agile HW and SW development practices
  • Release Train Engineer experience
  • Active SAFe Certification in Product Management or Agility
  • Experience with Program Baselining and EVM
  • Prior Control Account Manager experience
  • Experience working closely with the Missile Defense Agency THAAD Project Office or other DoD missile defense customers
  • Experience with competitive DoD contract efforts

National Pay Statement Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $113,900 - $200,905. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
