Job Description

Overview We are seeking an experienced, compassionate, and visionary Program Director to lead and oversee our Adult Day Health Care (ADHC) program. This leadership role is responsible for the planning, development, coordination, and daily operations of programs that support older adults and individuals with physical, cognitive, or developmental challenges. The Program Director will ensure high-quality participant care, regulatory compliance, staff leadership, and meaningful engagement for participants and families. The ideal candidate is passionate about improving quality of life for seniors and vulnerable populations through person-centered care, health promotion, and community-based services. Duties & Responsibilities Develop, implement, and oversee Adult Day Health Care programs and activities that support participants' physical, emotional, cognitive, and social well-being Ensure program services comply with all state, federal, and licensing regulations related to adult day health care operations Supervise interdisciplinary staff including activity coordinators, social workers, nurses, caregivers, drivers, and volunteers Lead staff recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, training, mentorship, and performance evaluations Coordinate individualized care plans in collaboration with healthcare providers, families, and community partners Monitor participant progress and ensure appropriate support services are provided to meet medical, nutritional, therapeutic, and psychosocial needs Manage daily program operations including attendance, transportation coordination, meal services, and activity scheduling Oversee program budgets, purchasing, reporting, documentation, and compliance records Develop community partnerships and referral networks with hospitals, clinics, senior centers, and social service agencies Conduct outreach, presentations, and public speaking engagements to promote program awareness and participant enrollment Support marketing initiatives, social media outreach, and community engagement efforts Collect and analyze program data, participant feedback, and outcome measures to improve service quality and program effectiveness Assist families with accessing community resources, benefits, and supportive services Lead fundraising, grant development, and community sponsorship opportunities to support program growth and sustainability Maintain a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all participants, staff, and visitors Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Social Work, Public Health, Gerontology, Nursing, Human Services, or related field preferred Minimum of 3-5 years of leadership or supervisory experience in adult day health care, senior services, healthcare, social services, or community-based programs Strong knowledge of aging services, dementia care, chronic disease management, and person-centered care practices Experience supervising multidisciplinary teams and managing program operations Understanding of healthcare regulations, documentation standards, and compliance requirements for adult day care or healthcare settings Excellent organizational, communication, and public speaking skills Experience with care coordination, participant assessments, and family support services Knowledge of budgeting, reporting, program planning, and quality improvement practices Ability to build strong relationships with participants, caregivers, healthcare professionals, and community organizations CPR/First Aid certification and bilingual abilities are a plus Preferred Skills Leadership and team development Program planning and implementation Participant advocacy and family engagement Conflict resolution and problem-solving Community outreach and partnership development Electronic health records (EHR) and documentation systems Time management and multitasking abilities Why Join Us Join our team and make a meaningful impact in the lives of older adults and individuals needing supportive daytime care services.
