Requirements Analyst - Space Domain Awareness, Orbital Warfare, or Command & Control . Responsibilities The successful candidate will supportHQ USSPACECOM J8
by providing specialized mission expertise in one of the following domains: Space Domain Awareness, Orbital Warfare, or Command & Control. SPA is looking for the best-qualified professional in any of these disciplines to drive the Command's requirements and capability development efforts. The key duties associated with this position include but are not limited to the following: Provide operational expertise toUSSPACECOM/J8
to support the assessment, defense, and ranking of Key Operational Problems (KOPs) and support Mission Engineering and capability gap analysis. Drive the alignment of resources to mission outcomes for Space Domain Awareness, Orbital Warfare, or Command & Control across the full spectrum of space operations. Support the development of detailed mission architectures, problem statements, and non-materiel (DOTMLPF-P) recommendations based on evolving command priorities. Support rapid responses to Joint Urgent/Emergent Operational Needs and lead nodal analysis of the Space Domain Awareness, Orbital Warfare, or Command & Control portfolios. Assist in developing Integrated Priority List and Unfunded Priority List products forUSSPACECOM
Space Domain Awareness, Orbital Warfare, or Command & Control mission sets. Prepare/deliver appropriately formatted briefings and point papers aimed at integrating and gaining advocacy for combatant command requirements including a summation of key issues and recommendations to facilitate program decisions, briefings, training sessions, consultations, and strategy sessions. Analyze program data, documentation, warfighting plans, strategies, Concepts of Operations, and Operations Concepts; develop recommendations for requirements modifications for existing programs and new requirements in support of future programs. Develop and provide recommendations to maximize resources, including advocacy strategies for critical missions to compete withinUSSPACECOM/USSF/OSD
governance processes. Coordinate with organizations such as Geographic and Functional Combatant Commands, Space Operations Command (SpOC), Space Warfighting Analysis Center (SWAC), Federally Funded Research and Development Corporations (FFRDCs), various DoD agencies and analytic centers, System Program Offices (SPOs)/Centers (i.e. DAF Rapid Capabilities Office, Space Rapid Capabilities Office), National Reconnaissance Office (NRO), Missile Defense Agency (MDA), Service Staffs, and other US agencies and mission partners. Interact directly with Service Staffs, Unified Commands, and defense agencies to assist in identifying and defining operational deficiencies and to integrate total force capabilities. Attend conferences and other technical exchanges and provide reports as required.Qualifications Required Qualifications:
Top Secret/SCI clearance Bachelor degree or higher from an accredited university 10+ years of relevant experience Expertise in identifying and ranking Key Operational Problems (KOPs) and navigating the mission-centric framework to accelerate capability delivery Proficiency in aligning mission requirements with resourcing priorities through the Requirements and Resourcing Alignment Board (RRAB) process Knowledge of the Joint Requirements Oversight Council (JROC) in identifying, assessing, and prioritizing joint military capability requirements Knowledge of the Defense Acquisition System and the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) processDesired Qualifications:
Experience with Joint and DoD Space Domain Awareness, Orbital Warfare, or Command & Control operations, tools, and capabilities. Familiarity with the Space Domain Awareness, Orbital Warfare, or Command & Control community Experience in Program Management Experience on a Joint Headquarters or MAJCOM/Field Command staff Experience working in classified (SAP/SAR) space environment Superior communication skills (written and oral) to include working with senior leaders At SPA, we strive to deliver a robust total compensation package that will attract and retain the top talent.
