Team USA is comprised of over 4,000 athletes from across 55 Olympic and Paralympic sports, from different backgrounds, cultures, and communities. Reflecting this rich diversity and representation strengthens the team's pursuit of excellence. The U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee is committed to supporting the athletes of Team USA by fostering inclusion and representation in our workforce. The annualUSOPC FLAME
program aims to inspire underrepresented professionals to pursue careers within the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Movement. For over 30 years, the FLAME program has created pathways for talented professionals by effectively engaging attendees with the required knowledge, career guidance, and networking opportunities to be successful. This year, the FLAME program will run July 28-August 1, 2026, at the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The program provides participants with exposure to career options within the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Movement. Program components include engaging with current and retired Team USA athletes, participating in sport experiences, residing at the Colorado Springs Olympic & Paralympic Training Center, networking with staff and leaders from the USOPC and various National Governing Bodies, and learning about what it means to be a supportive staff member of the team behind Team USA. Interested individuals should apply via the online application. The portal will remain open until Friday, May 22, 2026, at 5 p.m. MDT. Applicants must demonstrate how they pursue excellence in their professional experience and explain their career goals and interests. Travel, accommodation, and food will be covered for participants during the event. This is not an employment opportunity and there is no pay or benefits associated with this program.
