Job Summary The Club Director actively develops and sustains relationships that grow the presence of the Club in the community by leading and cultivating partnerships with community organizations and regional school systems to advance programs at the Club site. The Club Director will champion the pursuit of Club Excellence by leading the operational, fiscal and management aspects of the Club. Primary Responsibilities Operational Leadership & Program Quality - 15% Drive the key performance indicators of Average Daily Attendance (ADA), Registered Members (RM), Active Members (AM) and Frequent Attenders (FA) for the Club in alignment with BGCMD's overall pursuit of Operational Excellence. Administer the annual National Youth Outcomes Initiative (NYOI) and Social & Emotional Learning Program Quality Assessment (SELPQA) assessments in collaboration with the Impact Department to ensure Club members consistently have great experiences at Club. Manage the BGCMD Fee Model for the Club to promote both Club accessibility for Club families while also driving the Club toward fiscal sustainability. Algin the expenditures of the Club with the operational Club budget. Youth Development & Member Engagement - 30% Establish a Club Culture that is youth-centered, safe, inclusive and engaging in an effort to promote positive Club member behaviors while also creating a welcoming environment for Club families and other external BGCMD stakeholders. Implement constructive youth development and trauma-informed practices throughout the Club to foster positive emotional, social, and enrichment experience for Club members. Build strong relationships with Club members, providing mentorship and guidance. Ensure a diverse range of programmatic, athletics, enrichment, and leadership activities to meet the needs and interests of Club members. Team Leadership & Professional Development - 25% Supervise and support a team of 4-10 teammates which includes the direct leadership of the Program Manager and the Club Access Assistant/Club Access Specialist. Indirectly supervise the Youth Development Specialist or Youth Engagement Specialist in support of the Program Manager. Conduct regular check-ins with the Program Manager and Club Access Assistant/Club Access Specialist teammates to provide coaching and management around performance and conduct. Create a culture of teamwork, belonginess and productivity amongst Club staff. Participate in BGCMD January, May, and August training weeks and engage in any district/school-led professional development opportunities if applicable. Community & Family Engagement - 10% Lead community outreach efforts with key external stakeholders to strengthen partnerships with schools, local organizations, and community organizations. Host routine Family Orientations to foster strong relationships between Club families and the Club. Execute signature events Develop and maintain strong relationships with school administration and school staff Club Safety - 20% Champion the facility maintenance of the Club (or partner with School/District Leadership) to ensure that the Club is safe, accessible and ready for programming. Coordinate and oversee the transportation logistics for the Club and ensure that all BGCMD vehicles are utilized in accordance with BGCMD safety standards. Transport Club members to field trips, athletics activities and other special events in accordance with BGCMD safety standards. Direct the food service management of the Club and cultivate regular nutritional opportunities for Club members. Execute regular safety initiatives such as hosting Monthly Safety Drills and overseeing the Incident Report process for the Club. Secondary Duties Support the Program Manager with delivering upon the applicable grants, key programs and routine programming requirements for the Club. Step into ratio if the Club engagement necessitates additional staff. Demonstrate flexibility by substituting at other Clubs or participating in organization-wide events across the Denver Metro area. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in education, youth development, social work, nonprofit management, public administration, or a related field preferred ; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidates must have a minimum of four (4) years of progressively responsible experience serving youth, including leadership or supervisory responsibilities, that demonstrates the knowledge, judgment, and organizational leadership capacity required for the Club Director role. Serving youth . You have a demonstrable record of planning and implementing youth programs. Managing . You have led a team of direct and indirect reports by providing support, coaching, and feedback, supervision, and guidance to ensure a high performing team. You have collaborated on the hiring of direct reports. Performance management. You have demonstrated the ability to assist with the performance and development of employees through clear performance objectives and enforcement of excellent internal controls. Safety and compliance. You have served as an onsite compliance expert to ensure all employees, volunteers, and other individuals follow safety protocols, policies, and organization procedure. Incident de-escalation. You have served as a point of escalation, feedback, and approval for incidents and submitted incident reports, Budgets . You have assisted in budget development; monitor and report variances in expenditures and meet or exceed all grant requirements and deadlines for grants. Recruiting. You have created creative and effective recruitment strategies, planning and implementation to bring in new youth to programs. Preferred Qualifications You are a Spanish speaker. You have previous experience working with youth . You have a teaching certificate or background in education. A valid driver's license and ability to be insured under the company's insurance policy (at least 21 years of age and valid license for at least 3 years with no major violations). The successful candidate will primarily work indoors. Accordingly, the ability to use a variety of equipment including janitorial and office equipment is required. The job requires the ability to stand for extended periods, kneel, reach, bend, and lift objects weighing in excess of 25 lbs. Outdoor work and moderate physically demanding activities may be required on occasion. Strong English proficiency is required for this position to ensure effective communications with staff, Club members, and families, as well as to follow safety and procedural guidelines accurately.
