Colorado-based preferred with domestic and international travel required Bridge of Life (BOL) is a global nonprofit organization founded by DaVita Inc. that focuses on strengthening healthcare systems and expanding access to quality kidney and chronic disease care in underserved communities worldwide. The role you'd play as a Program Manager at Bridge of Life BOL is seeking a highly organized, mission-driven Program Manager to support the planning, coordination, and execution of domestic and international kidney health programs. This role ensures programs run smoothly from design through implementation by managing logistics, volunteer coordination, partner communication, timelines, and project execution. The Program Manager serves as a key connector between BOL staff, volunteers, healthcare partners, vendors, and community organizations. This person will help execute programs across BOL's full spectrum of kidney care initiatives from prevention screenings and clinical trainings to dialysis capacity projects. This role is ideal for a "road warrior" who thrives in fast-paced environments, speaks Spanish, and genuinely enjoys the rigors of international travel. We are looking for a tactical and passionate leader who can navigate intricate logistics while maintaining strong relationships and exceptional attention to detail. Driven by health equity, the successful candidate will have a unique ability to connect with diverse cultures and inspire volunteers to deliver life-changing care in resource-limited settings.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Program Planning, Execution & Follow-Up Support planning and implementation of domestic and international programs Develop project timelines, workplans, and implementation checklists Coordinate project meetings with internal teams, partners, and volunteers Track deliverables and ensure projects remain on schedule Support on-the-ground execution of programs as needed Identify operational risks and proactively solve problems Coordinate debrief meetings, collect lessons learned, and support data collection and reporting Volunteer Coordination End to end coordination by overseeing logistics, recruitment, onboarding, training and engagement Serve as a project lead and point of contract for volunteers guiding clinical and non-clinical volunteers through daily activities Facilitate pre-mission orientations and on-site training to ensure volunteers are fully prepared to support partners, activities, and patient care Cultivate a collaborative, empathetic, and purpose-driven team environment. Act as a motivating force, ensuring volunteers remain focused, adaptable, and aligned with Bridge of Life's core values Work closely with in-country partners, local health ministries, and community leaders to seamlessly integrate volunteer efforts into sustainable, long-term health initiatives Help track volunteer participation and engagement metrics Financial & Administrative Support Track project budgets and expenses Monitor invoices and vendor payments Support grant reporting needs by collecting implementation information Maintain organized project documentation Support contract administration when needed Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree required 5+ years of nonprofit, healthcare, global health, event management, or project management experience Strong project management and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Strong written and verbal communication skills Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (approximately 35-40% of the time) Preferred Experience in healthcare or global health programs Volunteer management experience Spanish language skills Experience working in low-resource settings Ideal Candidate You are highly organized, capable of anticipating challenges, and skilled at bringing structure to complex environments.
