We have a wonderful Senior Living community in need of your expertise! Our client, a national property management company specializing in high quality affordable housing properties; is seeking their next Occupancy Specialist to join their team.
Qualifications:
Prior experience in affordable housing management or subsidy processing High School diploma or GED required, Associate's degree preferred 5 - 8 years of related work experience with strong HUD and affordable housing knowledge is ideal, 3-5 years of Section 8 and/or LIHTC experience required. 1 - 3 years of supervisory/management experience Certified Occupancy Specialist or similar preferred Demonstrated organizational and record keeping skills Experience with computer systems, particularly Microsoft Office Suites Outstanding verbal and written communication skills Excellent customer service skills Ability to manage multiple assignments and tasks Demonstrated ability to lead a small team, including teaching and training, and fostering an environment of teamwork and collaborations. The Occupancy Specialist will monitor HUD compliance, subsidies, properties and coordinate with various departments to ensure seamless transitions for the company.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Coordinate and monitor requisition, receipt, and posting of HUD and/or RD subsidies, and provide regular communication of subsidy status/receivables. Coordinate and monitor reconciliation of payment errors, TRACS and/or MINC errors, ledger/HAP reconciliations, or other subsidy receivable issues, and provide communication as needed. Assist in the onboarding of new or refinanced properties (to include RAD conversions) through a review of rent software builds, data entry, and coordinating with various departments to ensure seamless transition and flow of subsidy funds. Assist in the development and delivery of training in Property Management software, TRACS and/or MINC preparation and submission, HUD program requirements, RAD conversions, EIV and other programs as necessary. Act as a liaison to HUD, USDA, and Contract Administrators to ensure detailed understanding of their submission requirements. Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
