FT/Permanent About the Role We are seeking an experienced and highly strategic Program Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex, cross-functional initiatives. Unlike a project manager who focuses on a single project, you will oversee a portfolio of interconnected projects to ensure they align with the company''s strategic goals. You will be the linchpin that connects technical teams, business stakeholders, and executives, driving alignment, managing dependencies, and ensuring the successful realization of business benefits. Key Responsibilities 1. Strategic Leadership & Roadmap Definition Define the scope, vision, and roadmap for large-scale programs consisting of multiple workstreams and projects. Align program objectives with the organization''s strategic priorities, ensuring that every project within the program delivers measurable business value. Develop and maintain a holistic program plan, identifying key milestones, dependencies, and critical paths across all workstreams. 2. Execution & Governance Oversee the day-to-day progress of multiple project managers or team leads, providing guidance and removing impediments. Manage the program budget, resources, and risks at a macro level, escalating critical issues to executive sponsors when necessary. Establish and enforce program governance structures, including steering committees, stage gates, and reporting cadences. Ensure consistent application of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid) across the program. 3. Stakeholder Management & Communication Serve as the primary point of contact for program status, providing clear, concise, and data-driven updates to executives and key stakeholders. Facilitate communication and collaboration between different departments (e.g., Engineering, Marketing, Sales, Operations) to ensure alignment and resolve conflicts. Manage stakeholder expectations regarding scope, timeline, and business outcomes. 4. Benefits Management & Continuous Improvement Define success metrics (Key Performance Indicators) for the program and track progress toward achieving them. Conduct program closure reviews to capture lessons learned and quantify the realized business benefits. Champion continuous improvement initiatives within the PMO, refining processes and tools to increase efficiency.
Qualifications Required Skills & Experience:
5+ years of experience in Program Management or Senior Project Management, with a proven track record of delivering complex, cross-functional initiatives. Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) and the ability to adapt them to fit program needs. Exceptional leadership and influencing skills, with the ability to drive results without direct authority over all team members. Proficiency with program management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, , Microsoft Project) and reporting software. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to tailor messages to both technical teams and C-level executives. Experience managing budgets, resources, and vendor relationships. Have:
Project Management Professional (PMP) or Program Management Professional (PgMP) certification. Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) certification. Experience in [Insert Industry, e.g., FinTech, Healthcare, Retail, Technology]. MBA or advanced degree.
