Club Members General Function:
At the Black Canyon Boys and Girls Club (BCBGC) our mission is to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. We fulfill this mission by providing fun and safe activities and programs after school, and all day on breaks and through our 10 week Summer Program. Our Club is open to kids aged 6 to 18 years old. As an Adult Staff, you will be creating and facilitating programs for the kids at Club, largely based on the things that you like to do. At BCBGC we know that if you are enthusiastic about your work, the kids will be too. You will be the link between the Club Members, your fellow team-mates, Directors, and Club Families. You will also be called on to facilitate grant-funded programs that are vital to the ongoing success of kids at Club. If you have too much energy for a traditional desk job, then we want to talk to you. Rather than a traditional classroom setting, our facilitators lead activities by participating in them with the Club Members. At BCBGC we know that the more we engage with the kids, the greater the impact. We are looking for creative, mentally flexible individuals who are self-starters and are excited about the opportunity to work with kids of any/all ages. Consistency is also very important as you will become a familiar and friendly face to the kids in your care. Positions available are part time from shifts from 7:45am-12:15pm, 10:45am-3:15pm or 12:30pm-5:15pm (closing). Parents seeking part-time work are encouraged to apply

Responsibilities:
Writing and creating programs that follow the Boys & Girls Club standards for High Quality Sessions. Preparing lists of needed materials for programs with a budget breakdown. Maintaining a clean Club house and organized program areas. Mediate club member conflicts and facilitate a Club environment for youth of all ages and backgrounds.
Job Types:

$15.00-17.00 per hour Expected hours: 25-30 hours per week
Benefits:

  • Per the state of Colorado, this will be accrued at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked.
Schedule:
  • 4-5 hour shift
