The goal is to support children as they process past experiences and prepare for future transitions by equipping them with the emotional, spiritual, and relational tools needed for life as a Third Culture Kid (TCK). The program combines structured lessons, guided discussions, and supervised free time to promote resilience, connection, and growth. Reporting & Supervisory Relationship Reports to and is supervised by the Children's Program Director and the Adult Program Director. Minimum Qualifications A deep, growing relationship with God, demonstrating a heart for His work. A strong passion for TCKs/Missionary Kids (MKs) and Missionary families. Experience living overseas as an adult or as a TCK (not required if you work with ages 3 and under). Open to learning and growth. Experience caring for infants and young toddlers. Experience supporting parents through debriefing, coaching, and conversation. Skilled in age-appropriate classroom management techniques. Demonstrates flexibility, assisting in classes across different age groups as needed. Ability to collaborate effectively with leaders and teams. Possesses natural abilities to connect with infants and young children. Responsibilities Time:
Full-time commitment (40+ hours/week) during programs. Work Saturday mornings, as needed. Participate in team meetings.
Teaching/Debriefing:
Collaborate with the CHIPs team to offer care and training/debriefing for children. Exhibits confidence and composure when working with children/teens experiencing high stress or intense emotions. Provide structure using classroom management suited to high-emotion, high-transition environments. Facilitate age-appropriate curriculum across multiple age groups. Create a supportive and safe environment where children can learn, process, and play. Communicate effectively with parents about their children's emotional and behavioral experiences. Create a safe space for parents to discuss the challenges and realities of cross-cultural life.
Financial:
Support-raised position with possible stipend for full-time. Support-raised or hourly pay for part-time. Additional onboarding stipend available during initial support phase. Misc. Flexibility and willingness to serve the greater needs of MTI.
Base Pay:
$48,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
