Program Coordinator 3.7 3.7 out of 5 stars 250 South Road, Enfield, CT 06082 Full-time Phoenix Manufacturing Inc 10 reviews Full-time As a Program Coordinator, one will serve as a vital layer of support, ensuring the smooth and efficient execution of projects and production programs from inception to delivery. This role acts as a central communication hub, working closely with various internal teams to manage project timelines, material readiness, and customer relations while engaging regularly with customers on WIP status & delivery commitments. Core duties will include monitoring WIP & inventory levels to guarantee the timely availability of all components and raw materials required for production. One will support operations by updating tracking systems and flagging any emerging bottlenecks or issues in the material flow process to help meet customer demands. Ultimately, one will drive operational excellence by balancing quality, cost, and on-time delivery to drive the business forward for Phoenix Manufacturing, Inc.'s flight critical aerospace components to ensure they are delivered to the satisfaction of customer requirements. Essential Functions:

The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to the following: Manage the entire program lifecycle, from initial purchase order through to final shipment; working directly with the Production Manager to follow, maintain, and optimize the master production schedule to set priorities for the shop floor. Support production control with daily and weekly priorities for the shop floor and production teams based on customer deadlines and material availability. serving as a primary point of contact for external communication, managing customer specifications and relations, communicating key project milestones and ensuring the company's responsive professional image is maintained. Facilitate the smooth movement of work through the production process, coordinating schedules for critical operations (i.e. assembly, deburring, and secondary operations). Partner with Quality to determine necessary scheduling of customer inspections and coordinating the availability of the Quality department to ensure all specifications are met prior to shipment (e.g., in-process checks, final inspections). Manage the end-to-end flow of raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods, from procurement and receiving through production and final shipment. Run line balances and performance metrics to identify potential production bottlenecks and actively work to "bridge gaps" in schedules to prevent delays. Ensure on-time parts and materials from customers by managing and monitoring production control commitments within prior reporting channels (i.e. Customer Portals). Support requirements, communications, and assignments as required. Lead manufacturing advance planning to ensure paperwork, tooling, and processes are in place to meet build schedules, optimize efficiency, meet deadlines, and fulfill customer orders. Support capacity analysis and forecast planning for internal use and reporting to customers, as required. Support the scheduling of deliveries and services from vendors to align with production needs and avoid disruptions. With process engineering, ensure router times are accurate and procurement schedules meet customer needs. Developing the production schedules and maintaining the production visual board in each area, illustrating the status of the production activities for current programs. Directs and coordinates sequencing of work, such as build and delivery, to ensure smooth operations and optimal use of resources. Creating the plan for the weekly work required to be flowing through the production cells and tracking team productivity against the planned work. Identifies and mitigates potential problems or conflicts in the areas of cost, quality, and productivity by working cross-functionally in order to address issues (i.e. stocking, strategy, shortages, scheduling, or details). Design and implement the collection and reporting of production data, capacity analysis, key performance indicators (KPIs), and other metrics to populate routine dashboards and generate special reports to inform decision-making and customer reporting as required. Utilization of office machines including copiers, scanners, phone systems, computers (including email), and other standard equipment. Ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment with Engineering, Operations, and Quality). Maintain a clean work environment (including assigned storage and cleaning duties) in full compliance with all internal, customer and government regulations. Strong communicator across all levels—customers, internal teams, and suppliers—with the judgment to escalate risks and issues as needed to maintain delivery and alignment Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (i.e., shoes, eyewear, gloves, masks, shields, and coats) if needed. Assist in the preparation and control of estimates, statistics, and reports regarding Production activities. Perform all tasks within Quality System Management (QMS) requirements. Other duties as assigned.
Experience, Education and Qualifications:
High School Diploma Required. Associate or Bachelor of Science degree in Business, Engineering, or equivalent degree in a related discipline preferred. Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a similar production role, achieving production goals, and optimizing processes in an aerospace or machining environment. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Excel) or related software. Experience in managing all aspects of the production process, from planning and scheduling to execution and quality control. Experience in working with production control systems and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software (Global Shop). Strong organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and projects while maintaining focus and delivering high-quality results. Preferred experience in a fast-paced environment producing a wide variety of aerospace parts in low quantities.
