Job Description

Summary of Job Description:
Incumbent in this position, in collaboration with the Cultural & Community Programs Manager, supports the coordination and supervision of docent staff during departmental programs, events, and their daily activities. Responsible for assisting with planning, supervision, and transportation, while fostering a positive and supportive environment for cultural learning and presentations. Additionally, this position also offers the opportunity to engage with Mohegan history and cultural programming, while encouraging docents in their development and cultural teachings.
Minimum Requirements:
Basic keyboarding and Microsoft Office skills Demonstrated interpersonal, leadership and problem-solving skills Demonstrated understanding of group dynamics and conflict resolution Ability to perform essential duties in outdoor environments including adverse conditions such as high heat and wetness High school diploma (or equivalent) 1-year experience helping to plan, develop and manage youth programs 1-year experience supervising/overseeing youth in group settings Must be a member of the Mohegan Tribe Must be available for the entire duration of the (10-week) program Successful candidate must pass the background check and continue to be eligible for employment in accordance with The Mohegan Tribe's Indian Child Protection and Family Violence Prevention Policy First Aid and CPR certifications required (will train) Must have valid motor vehicle operator's license from state of residence, without license restrictions Must be able to maintain a flexible work schedule, including nights and weekends The Mohegan Tribal Government is committed to Native American Preference and is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
