reviews From $55,000 a year - Full-time The Opportunity The Ninja & Adventure Center Manager/Head Coach provides leadership, program oversight, and day-to-day management of Chelsea Piers Stamford's Ninja program and Adventure Center (trampoline park/rock wall). This role is responsible for driving business growth, staff leadership, curriculum development, athlete experience, and the safe and effective operation of the Ninja & Adventure Center space. The Head Coach ensures program excellence while supporting Chelsea Piers' core values, business objectives, and commitment to exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate is a highly visible and entrepreneurial leader who is passionate about growing participation and revenue, building strong community relationships, and delivering exceptional experiences that strengthen the Chelsea Piers brand. Primary Responsibilities Leadership & Management Provide daily leadership, supervision, and professional development for all Ninja & Adventure Center staff Lead hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling, and performance management for all Ninja & Adventure Center staff Manage staff scheduling, payroll processes, and timekeeping Foster a positive, safe, and accountable team culture aligned with Chelsea Piers values Serve as a visible leader and point of contact for staff and families Program Operations Develop and implement structured curriculum, lesson plans, and progression pathways for Ninja classes, team, and camps Provide daily on-floor coaching and support across class, camp, and team programs Identify, evaluate, and place athletes within Ninja Team programming Create new programs/offerings to encourage additional participation in activities Maintain accurate daily athlete attendance and manage makeup class scheduling Communicate proactively with families regarding athlete placement, progress, and program expectations Space, Equipment & Business Operations Oversee equipment maintenance and space setup to support curriculum delivery and athlete safety Curate equipment purchase recommendations and collaborate with leadership on selections and upgrades Lead and support marketing, promotional, and community outreach efforts designed to increase visibility, participation, and revenue generation for Ninja & Adventure Center programs. Oversee program performance by monitoring budgets, participation goals, enrollment trends, and retention while implementing strategies to support revenue growth. Collaborate with the main registration desk to ensure smooth handling of registration questions and transactions Serve as a visible ambassador for Chelsea Piers by building strong relationships with athletes, families, guests, and the surrounding community
Status:
Full-Time, Exempt Schedule:
In-person at Chelsea Piers in Stamford, CT; this position requires evening and weekend hours, and the schedule varies based on seasonal business needs
Compensation:
