Public Health Analyst Department of Health•3.9 Washington, DC Job Details Full-time $92,656•$118,558 a year 12 hours ago Qualifications Data collection Full Job Description This position is located in the DC Department of Health, HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis, STD and TB Administration (HAHSTA), Capacity Building, Housing and Community Partnership Division. The position serves as a Community Health Worker (CHW), which provides direct client services in the community and facilitates access to HIV interventions and services to residents of the Washington, DC Eligible Metropolitan Area. Duties and Responsibilities Develops strategic plans, operational plans, budgets, project plans, evaluation plans, and other administrative tools, while gathering and analyzing data to assess community needs and the performance, effectiveness, and impact of programs and policies. Develops program materials, position papers, policy documents, and presentations for internal and external audiences, and provides effective technical assistance and consultation related to data collection and reporting protocols, performance measures, and program evaluation designs. Writes proposals, grant applications, and other required materials, ensuring timely submission of all grant applications. Establishes and maintains partnerships and communication pathways with a wide range of stakeholders, including providers, payers, policymakers, educators, and program administrators, and collaborates with other programs within the department to leverage activities. May serve as a team leader or multi-agency project manager and prepares periodic and ad-hoc reports for District and federal agencies. Develops communication campaigns and educational materials on disease prevention and control for health professionals and the public. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Specialized Experience:
Specialized experience is experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, applicants must have one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the line of progression. Licenses and Certifications None required. Working Conditions / Environment The incumbent must be able to carry out official duties in a variety of settings and conditions. Routine work will occur primarily in an office setting.
