Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-5:00 PM; flexible schedule required, including evenings, weekends, and on-call availability for births Healthy Start Coalition of Southwest Florida, Inc . is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) dedicated to maternal and child health, reducing infant deaths and premature births, and promoting healthy outcomes for babies and young children. We have served families in Collier, Glades, Hendry and Lee counties since 1992. The Healthy Start Coalition of Southwest Florida system of care includes Connect, Healthy Start, CAPTA, Nurse Family Partnership, Help Me Grow, FIMR, TEAM Dad, and the Southwest Florida Regional Diaper Bank programs. Position Summary The Doula Program Coordinator is responsible for the overall coordination, management, and quality assurance of the Healthy Start Doula program. This position oversees program operations and the contracted doula workforce, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed services to clients. The Coordinator collaborates with internal staff, healthcare providers, community partners, and statewide initiatives to meet program goals, contractual obligations, and compliance requirements. This role also provides limited direct doula services and field support as needed. Essential Duties and Responsibilities 1. Program Operations & Coordination Coordinate all aspects of the Healthy Start Doula program, including recruitment, trainings and events, screening, onboarding, credentialing, contracting, scheduling, referral assignment, and reporting Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure timely service delivery, appropriate caseload distribution, and continuity of care Assign client referrals based on acuity, estimated due date, service needs, and doula availability Coordinate scheduling, including on-call birth support and backup coverage Manage program supplies, inventory, purchasing, and recordkeeping Maintain knowledge of program policies, evidence-based practices, and funder requirements Collaborate with leadership to manage program budget, expenditures, invoicing, and fiscal reporting Work with the Contract Programs Manager to ensure contract execution, performance measures, and quality standards are met 2. Workforce Management (Doula Support & Development) Manage doula workforce development, including recruitment, onboarding, training, credentialing, and continuing education Provide supervision, coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback to contracted doulas Track certifications, training completion, and credentialing to ensure compliance Identify professional development needs and coordinate training opportunities 3. Quality Assurance & Compliance Conduct file reviews, case reviews, field audits, and quality improvement activities Monitor program documentation and service delivery for compliance with grant, contractual, and regulatory requirements Support risk management and adherence to program policies and standards 4. Direct Service & Field Support Maintain a limited caseload, as required, and provide prenatal, birth, and postpartum doula support Provide field support and backup coverage, including attending home visits and births when necessary Serve as a point of coordination between doulas, clients, and providers during service delivery 5. Client Support & Care Coordination Build supportive relationships with clients to promote positive maternal and infant health outcomes Conduct screenings and assessments and make referrals to appropriate services Advocate for clients to ensure access to medical, social, and community resources Facilitate coordination with healthcare providers, government agencies, and community organizations 6. Community Engagement & Partnerships Assist with outreach, recruitment, and enrollment of program participants Build and maintain partnerships with hospitals, clinics, health departments, and community organizations Represent the program at meetings, outreach events, trainings, and coalitions Coordinate and support community education and doula-related training events 7. Documentation & Reporting Ensure timely, accurate documentation in required case management or data systems Compile data and narrative reports for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting Support grant and contract compliance through accurate reporting and documentation 8. Other Duties Participate in staff meetings, supervision, and required trainings Attend required G.R.O.W. Doula training and continuing education Perform other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in public health, maternal and child health, social work, nursing, counseling, or related field . 1-2 years of experience in maternal and child health, public health, or human services At least one year of supervisory, coordination, or lead experience Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Ability to work both independently and collaboratively Proficiency with Microsoft Office and data/case management systems Valid Florida driver's license and reliable transportation if required for job duties Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and on-call responsibilities Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in a related field Current doula certification and at least one year of experience providing doula services Experience with home visiting or high-risk/underserved populations Bilingual (Spanish, Haitian Creole, or other relevant languages) Knowledge of Healthy Start, Medicaid, or maternal health systems Experience working in multicultural community-based settings Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of perinatal health, trauma-informed care, and culturally responsive practices Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Strong advocacy, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and privacy standards Physical & Environmental Requirements Ability to travel throughout service area and attend home visits, clinics, and birth settings Ability to work in office, community, and clinical environments Ability to sit, stand, walk, and use standard office equipment Additional Information Benefits include Paid Time Off, Paid Holidays, Insurance, and a Retirement Plan.
