Job Description
Primary Function:
Plans, implements and supervises Club programs for members following all requirements.Program Duties:
1. Follow the Youth Development Strategy - Instill in youth feelings of Belonging, Usefulness, Influence and Competence (BUIC). 2. In keeping with the Formula for Impact objectives effectively implement and administer programs, services and activities for members. 3. Ensure engagement, stimulate participation, and promote consistent attendance of youth enrolled in activities. 4. Establish rapport with youth and provide mentoring, guidance, role modeling to members and overall direction for their leadership development, artistic skills, physical activity engagement and academic progress. 5. Plan special events, such as guest speakers, performances or field trips. 6. Monitor and evaluate programs, services and activities to ensure safety of members including maintaining a ratio of staff to members of 1:25 or less. 7. Support members emotional and social development, encouraging understanding of others and positive self-concepts successfully. 8. Plan and facilitate purposeful and engaging activities and group projects. 9. Submit regular lesson plans, attendance sheets and other administrative duties. 10. Gain a working knowledge of grant outcome expectations and report results as requested.Program Supervision:
1. Provide active supervision continually interacting with all members and providing motivation and encouragement. 2. Mandatory cleaning of program area on a daily basis. 3. Ensure that program equipment is in good condition and instruct members in the proper use of the equipment. 4. Discipline members fairly, consistently, and only according to established policies and procedures. 5. Serve as a role model and mentor to members and peers. 6. Work actively with volunteers to guide them regarding member activities and needs.Additional Responsibilities:
1. Participate in training and staff development activates. 2. May participate in special programs and/or events. 3. May drive Club van. 4. May input program data into database. 5. Complete trainings as required. 6. May be required to help out in multiple areas as needed. 7. Clean area as needed.Relationships Internal:
Maintain close daily contact with supervisor, Club staff and volunteers to receive and provide information.External:
Maintain contact as needed with external community groups, schools, and others. Skills/Knowledge Required 1. High School diploma or GED (or working towards). 2. Experience working with children. 3. CPR and First Aid Certifications (or obtain within the first three months of employment). Monday - Friday from 1:00pm to 6:30pm (when school is open) with availability to work between 7:30am and 5:30pm (when school is closed) Hourly rate of pay is $18.00 per hourJob Type:

401(k) Paid time off Application Question(s): How may years of experience do you have working with youth between 6-14 years old? Our organization requires a Level II background clearance and drug screen. We do not accept the use of any THC products. Would there be anything that could prohibit you from being hired? This role requires full availability to work Monday through Friday from 1 pm to 6:30 pm. On non-school days, we also need you to be present for a full day with hours falling between 7:30 am and 5:00 pm. We are not flexible with changes to this schedule.
