Responsible for the safety of members, recognizing and responding effectively to emergencies.
Responsible for the daily physical operation of the pool; supervise and schedule for the effective use and maintenance of the aquatic facilities.
Enforce all facility policies, rules and regulations, and complete records and reports regarding the following: hourly member attendance, water chemistry, incidents and accidents.
Assists with lifeguarding, swim instruction, First Aid and CPR trainings.
Assists in the marketing and distribution of program information.
Monitors program budget to meet fiscal objectives.
Assists in YMCA fund raising activities and special events.
Responds to all member and community inquiries and complaints in timely manner. 10. Assists with Program Committee meetings. 11. Facilitate timely and appropriate responses to member comments/complaints. 12. Serves as on-deck coordinator when no guarding/teaching. 13. Carry out additional duties and special projects as assigned.
One to two years related experience preferred.
Must be 21 years of age.
Typical requirements within 30 days of hire include: CPR-Pro, First Aid, O2, AED, Hazardous Communications, Respirator Training.
Completion of YMCA program-specific and trainer certifications, including: Life Guard Instructor, Swim Lesson Trainer, P.O.O.L. or CPO.Must pass Level 2 Background Screening. Level 2 is a fingerprint check of state and federal criminal history information conducted through the Florida Department of law Enforcement (FDLE) and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
