Job Description:
  • Organizes and manages all aspects of board preparation, including scheduling, materials, and resources.
  • Orients new residents and fellows, providing necessary training and ensuring they have access to required resources.
  • Maintains records and schedules meetings to support residents and fellows.
  • Assists with administrative tasks to ensure smooth transitions for new recruits.
  • Coordinates human resource activities for residents and faculty, including orientation, contracting, progressive discipline, and graduation.
  • Oversees daily activities of the residency program office, including planning, preparation, and execution of program functions.
  • Serves as the primary GME administrative liaison between the clinical teaching site and the sponsoring institution's GME office for site-specific operations.
  • Provides ongoing administrative support to residents and fellows throughout their training.
  • Acts as the subject matter expert for the Program Director, residents, program faculty, and staff regarding accreditation standards and institutional policies.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Possess the knowledge and skills to understand the budget process and use financial software to track and monitor program expenses [Required]
  • Demonstrate critical thinking, problem solving, and decision-making skills [Required]
  • Ability to utilize resources effectively and efficiently [Required]
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills [Required]
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office and other AdventHealth required software programs; Proficient in using the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) software and New Innovations Residency Management Suite [Required]
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations, and efficiently switch between tasks [Required]
  • Ability to work independently to successfully meet program goals [Required]
  • Understand and apply ACGME and other regulatory bodies program accreditation requirements and guidelines, and general GME practices and policies [Preferred]
  • Understand the organizational structure of the institution, GME department, and the program, as well as the relationship between each entity in regard to accreditation [Preferred]
  • Understand and apply general financial and budgetary processes and principles [Preferred]
Education:
  • Bachelor's [Required]
Field of Study:
  • in business, healthcare administration, education or related field
Work Experience:
  • Experience using Microsoft products including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams [Required]
Additional Information:
An equivalent combination of education ad relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of the stated degree requirement:
  • Bachelor's degree OR
  • Associates degree AND 2+ years of experience OR
  • High School Grad or Equivalent AND 4+ years of experience.
Licenses and Certifications:
  • Training Administrators in Graduate Medical Education (C-TAGME) [Preferred]
