Clarificion from the agency Applicants eligible and willing to join the Florida Military Nional Guard Duties Help As a, Military Funeral Honor Program Coordinor, GS-0301-09. You must perform program development and the coordinion of functions for the Military Funeral Honors Program (MFHP), which provides military funeral honor ceremonies for service members and veterans. The position serves as an agency coordinor for the stewide MFHP in promotion and coordinion of the program through the educion of the Ste's Nional Guard, active component, veteran's service organizions, and other Veteran's advocacy groups. Develops, implements, interprets, and publishes SOPs, policies, opering regulions, and procedures. Plans, develops, schedules, and makes recommendions for changes to MFHP. Responsible for creing a cooperive network of agencies, organizions, and individuals whose interactions can lead to an improved Military Funeral Honors Program. This is an excepted service position th requires membership in a compible military assignment in the employing ste's Nional Guard, required prior to the effective de of placement. Participion in direct deposit is mandory. Selectee required to wear the military uniform. May be required to successfully complete a probionary period. Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigion. Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service. Nional Guard Membership is required. Must possess a valid Ste driver's license for the Ste in which they live or are principally employed. Qualificions AREA OF CONSIDERATION
This position is in the Excepted Federal Civil Service "under the authority of 32 U.S.C. 709" and is open to Cegory 1: All permanent/indefinite (T32 and T5) technicians employed by the agency Cegory 3: All current military members of the Florida Nional Guard; and Cegory 4: All individuals who qualify for membership in the Florida Nional Guard and are willing to become T32 Dual Stus technicians. Must have experience, educion, or training which provided a general knowledge of principles of organizion, management, and administrion. Experience using computer and automion systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE
GS-09- Must have least one year of specialized experience the GS-07 level or the equivalent which provides knowledge and/or experience , educion or training in any position th required compiling reports, letters, memoranda, etc., and required person-to-person contacts to convey informion. Experience providing technical guidance and assistance in the type of work or in comparable work of the position to be filled. Experience understanding of administrive procedures and practices of management. Experience developing administrive procedures. TEMPORARY
PROMOTION- For Title 32 selectees only: This is an obliged position (incumbent is on a military tour). If a permanent employee in Title 32 excepted civil service accepts this position, he/she will retain their permanent stus AND return to their previous Title 32 position once the incumbent returns from military duty. If the military tour member, who has reemployment rights to this position, does not exercise his/her reemployment rights within 5 years, the selected individual may remain in this position without further competition. APPOINTMENT-For Current Title 5 selectees only: This is an obliged position (incumbent is on a military tour). If an on-board individual employed in Title 5 excepted civil service accepts this position, he/she converted to Title 32 and will receive an indefinite appointment (Tenure 3). If a Reduction-In-Force occurs and/or the military tour member exercises reemployment rights to this position, the indefinite appointee will have no reemployment rights to any other position and may be separed.
