Job Description

Job Summary The Food Program Coordinator supports Heritage Academy by overseeing the daily coordination and supervision of the school's lunch program in a safe, organized, and Christ-centered environment. This position plays an important role in the successful implementation and management of the school's National School Lunch Program (NSLP), ensuring that students are served efficiently and cared for well during meal times. Food Program Coordinator is responsible for coordinating meal orders, maintaining vendor relationships, supporting compliance procedures, supervising cafeteria operations, and assisting students during lunch periods. This position requires strong organizational skills, professionalism, flexibility, and a heart for serving children and families. Lunch Program Coordination Oversee the daily operation of the school lunch program. Coordinate meal ordering, meal counts, and communication with food vendors and service providers. Maintain positive and professional vendor relationships. Ensure meals are received, organized, distributed, and served efficiently. Monitor inventory, supplies, and cafeteria needs related to meal service. Assist with implementation and daily operation of the National School Lunch Program (NSLP). Maintain accurate meal records and documentation required for program compliance and reimbursement. Collaborate with the Business Manager and school leadership regarding lunch program needs and reporting. Cafeteria Supervision Supervise students during lunch periods and help maintain a safe, orderly, and positive cafeteria environment. Encourage respectful student behavior and positive social interactions. Assist younger students as needed during meal times. Support transitions into and out of the cafeteria. Address minor student concerns appropriately and communicate larger concerns to school leadership. Operations and Compliance Follow all health, safety, sanitation, and food handling expectations. Assist with maintaining cafeteria cleanliness and organization throughout the day. Support the Business Manager in ensuring compliance with all applicable NSLP procedures and school policies. Assist with audits, reviews, and documentation requests related to the lunch program. Assist with special meal days, events, and schoolwide food service needs as assigned.

From $23.00 per hour
